By all accounts Gerrard fancies a coaching role at Liverpool, with the youth teams. Would be good for the youngsters to learn from him what he did right and wrong, both on and off the pitch. Learn the trade, take his badges, etc.. on the odd occasion come to Melwood and learn off Klopp and his back room team. Playing wise, I hope he doesn't continue. We've all said it before, he really should have retired from the game once he left Liverpool, it already did and would continue to look really sad and pathetic if he chased a cheap medal in an inferior league!
Lawro is the verbal version of a Click-Bait ad!. Regardless of his good, bad or indifferent comments about LFC, we best served to ignore them and him!
Gerrard only has the very top badge left to do, pointless him signing as a player we have so many ahead of him. Get him in a coaching role though, why not?
Depends if he thinks he still can play. Is his family still in the UK? I did get the impression they were part of his reason not to carry on in the US. If he still wants to play don't think there are many clubs left for him in Europe, Celtic seem to have closed their link to him, wont go to another English club, think PSG will want to concentrate on building a team rather than the Celebrity era of Beckham. Maybe Italy?
I'll be honest he will be tarnishing what reputation he has. He was seen as someone who played too long. the last england tournament really took the gloss off his international career and captaincy, not that any england career for anyone has been amazing. beckham and rooney were both vanity projects for instance His last season for us was sad frankly. he should have won that title if he'd not been thinking of a 50 yard pass rather than controlling the ball on injury time v cheslea he could have retired with the league medal and it would have been perfect. his galaxy career was not good. knocking around **** clubs is not the way to go as all you will be remembered for is the end. Gerrard.. oh yeah that celtic sub... not good. Just flaming retire son.
Agreed.. Those around him, people he trusts need to step and say, "Stevie.. you's WAS a legend, and great footballer, but, err.. you're a bit crap now.. keep playing and they'll remember you for that rather than the good stuff you did with LFC, go finish your badges and at the same time coach the U17s at LFC!" If he was a good mate of mine, I'd break his leg so he couldn't play again!
If i were that mate he'd be coaching u14s at LFC and working on SKY Tv on a big contract unitl he got his badges. Simple solution. his ego is going to bust him. I see mk dons as manager now... anyone remember tony adams blowing it at wycombe?
Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admits Italy striker Mario Balotelli, 26, was "absolutely spot on" to describe their relationship at Anfield as a "disaster". (Talksport) Reds striker Daniel Sturridge, 27, has emerged as a shock £25.5m transfer target for Italian side AC Milan. (Calciomercatoweb, via Sun) Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho was pictured going into the city's Spire Hospital on Thursday. It is thought the Brazil international, 24, was having a scan on an injury that leaves him doubtful for Saturday's match at Southampton. (Liverpool Echo)
Liverpool are tracking Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes. He is under consideration as the Reds draw up plans for January. (James Pearce)
Quincy Promes doesn't really do it in the name department, but I suppose once you've got to Granit Xhaka there's nowhere to go really.
