That's the one ... I'll never forget him forcing his way to the forefront of both our promotion celebrations (despite never playing), or his performance against Arsenal in a pre-season match where he looked like he'd been plucked from the crowd a minute before.

Great line up and I like the irony that you've included departing stars alongside their replacements - lallana and Tadic, Toby and VVD, Schneiderlin and Romeu. I think I prefer the current incumbents in every case but would have been nice to see them in the same line up!. It's the front men who we miss most. Austin is a decent replacement for Rickie but nowhere near the same 'legend' status and Boufal has yet to stop us missing Mane (but he will I'm sure).

I saw him play once in a pre-season friendly at Eastleigh. He came off at half-time. He may have been a decent goalkeeper once upon a time but his confidence was shot and it was quite the worst performance I have ever seen from a goalie. He was replaced by Jack Dovey who I thought was going to be our future but for some reason he never made it. Not sure why.

Davis! One place where I wouldn't have him, so I'm glad you didn't, is on the bench.

I'm thinking about it but its an almost impossible task. 'Best' maybe not so difficult but 'favourite' is very difficult. I can get the defence sorted but then I have about 8 midfielders and 3 or 4 forwards.

We really have been lucky the last few years. Most of them come across a nice guys too.
