Striker set to move on Swansea, Updated: November 10, 2016 5:57 AM Views: 217, BY ClubCall Bafetimbi Gomis looks set to cut all ties with Swansea and sign a permanent deal with Marseille in the January window. Swansea: Striker set to move on The France international has rediscovered his touch in front of goal since joining Marseille on a season-long loan deal and they are keen to wrap up a deal as soon as possible. Marseille are no longer struggling financially after being taken over and hope to use some of the funds that have been promised to them over the next two years, to fund a deal for Gomis. The striker took a pay cut to join the French side in the summer, but his wages will be bumped up if he signs long term, and he is sure to jump at the chance of a deal. Gomis is keen for a fresh start and Swansea will not stand in his way despite the fact they could probably do with an in-form Gomis as they battle to beat the drop. Gomis' replacements Borja Baston and Fernando Llorente have yet to hit it off at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea remain deep in relegation trouble. He's talking about roughly the last 40 games where our squad has been producing gutless, pedestrian displays. It started during Laudrup's second season, subsided a little for Monk to begin with and then hit with a bang again, and then it pretty much continued throughout the majority of Guidolin's tenure bar a few decent performances. This squad we've got has been slowly fading for the past 3/4 years and, to rub salt into the wound, we've had a devastatingly poor go of it in the transfer windows, bringing players in with pedigree and skill but unfortunately no bite behind their bark. Perhaps our luck has just run out. We couldn't go on finding Michu's, Bony's, Gylfi's, Rangel's and Williams' et al. forever. And the fixture list this year, while not the whole problem, may have us cut so far adrift and so bereft of confidence that when we finally have a run of favourable fixtures, we might be mentally down and out already. It's difficult, but somehow, at least when attending matches, us as fans need to keep the faith and keep supporting. Because the players we have can win matches when on song, but we've clearly found out that when backs are up against the wall, our squad gets wobbly knees.
Looks like we will get something for him , good thing we got him to sign an extra season before he went out on loan ...Didn't he ?
Anger towards the board is building and building by the week and by each passing defeat. Reasons for that are: Firstly the Summer transfer window, ignoring the need to seriously invest in the squad, the lack of communication with the trust when completing the share sale, the share sale itself, ex-directors still gaining access to the directors box and other freebies, Their treatment of Guidolin Allowing the Americans to come in and hiring an inexperienced manager. Have I missed anything out? With only 5 points on the board, and 6 adrift of safety, there`s clearly a need for squad investment in the January transfer window. A chance for the chairman and new shareholders to redeem themselves slightly? Yes ever so slightly, but I`d be surprised if they made any difference to the squad and improved it with decent signings. Unfortunately - right now, it looks like the damage has already been done. YOU ****ER JENKINS
I want us to be relegated just to please the fans........It will be great and refreshing to actually be where most fans want and where we belong......great memories though.....
