The proper way to cook them is to blanch them in boiling water for two minutes the steep them in ice water that way they keep their colour and lardons can be added after they've come out the microwave for 2 minutes.I part cook them. Half them. Then sautée them in butter with bacon lardons.
Sometimes I may pop them in an oven dish add spring onion with the bacon lardons cover them in double cream top with breadcrumbs then whack in the oven for a bit. Best way to eat sprouts.
