Or is it completely irrelevant ?

Names flying around on Charlton social media this morning:

Nigel Adkins
Johnnie Jackson
Andy Hughes
Jason Euell
Nathan Jones
Jose Riga
Chris O'Loughlin

The latter seems to be the overwhelming favourite - he has watched our games in recent weeks in an identical fashion to how Karel Fraeye bokked Guy Luzon before replacing him.

Who can argue with O'Loughlin's stellar CV ?

Not only did he win 19% of his games during his short tenure as St Truiden manager, he also enjoyed a fine spell in deepest Congo.

My ideal next manager were we a serious club, a manager who could rebuild us from the bottom, would be Curbs.

As it is, there is more chance of Slade giving up donuts than anyone credible coming in.

Jackson. He has managerial qualities, and considering most fans probably conceive a realistic push at promotion isn't forthcoming this season, it gives him time to get possible ideas across.

The first 6 months did Powell in good stead for the following seasons promotion push.

I'd be happy to see one of the following -

Curbs with Jacko as assistant
Jacko with Curbs as Director of Football
Billy Davies
Brian McDermott
Keith Curle

Never going to happen, though.

Adkins is better than O'loughlin (clearly), but was very poor at Sheffield United. I fear he'll just continue Slades job and reaffirms the boards actual pre season goal.

On a more positive note, dons bank balance isn't taking a hit.

Don's marital status on Facebook has just suddenly changed to 'getting divorced' <laugh>

I'd finally be able to hire a sexy young assistant.

Unfortunately she won't divorce me, as skybet would only allow me to place a £16 bet after allowing me to deposit 500 and I'm irresistible when I'm not sat in my y fronts with a bottle of whisky.

I'd love Andy Hughes or Jacko as manager, but NOT under this lot. Particularly the present CEO. She has convinced our septuagenarian owner that the protests are by a few fans who don't want a woman CEO. Since we are only 1.5% of his interest he accepts whatever pack of lies she gives him, so her position is untouchable. I'd hate to see either of those two accept the poison chalice. Just get Roland out first.
