Well, it's fast approaching and pretty much unavoidable so here is the thread we've secretly all been waiting for. What do you plan to do, what do you eat and drink, any family or non family traditions or annoyances? Favourite Christmas tune, TV program, all that ****. Put it here. If you don't celebrate Christmas because you're weird or something call it the festive thread, whatever.
Great for people with young children but I don't celebrate Christmas because it's become just another excuse for rampant commercialism forcing poorer families into debt they can ill afford. But I do enjoy a Christmas dinner though #Bahhumbug
Christmas is ****ing sound. Superb food, superb drink, superb telly, people actually buy you stuff (granted you've got to get them stuff too) and you get to sit on your arse for a few days. Nowt wrong with that.
Its a time for giving presents. I'm opting to give HIAG some tissues, a compass and some humble pie to munch on. .Merry Christmas.
I remember as a kid coming from a poor family I asked my dad if I could have an 'Action Man'. Waking up Christmas morning full of expectation I eagerly tore the wrapping paper off the gift only to find an empty box! Tears streaming down my face I turned to my dad and said 'it's an empty box'! He just said it's an Action Man deserter.
I'm going to buy him a 5 star recovery plan from the RAC so he doesn't have to call relatives to pick him up when he's dumped at a service station.
What you said does happen in my house, it's the build up and the having to see ****ers you don't usually see that's ****. It's better when you have kids though, especially when they believe in Santa (gullible twats!).
I've got a bit lazy with Christmas as the kids have got older, I will knock up some good food but will also eat out a lot.
I've got him a nice new watch ... to help him while away the hours ... I believe that's one of his newer hobbies ... please log in to view this image Are we there yet?
