Mafia know who the veteran is. They can't risk targeting him again because he can be on guard twice more. They could try and get him lynched but then again why would they need him dead at this stage. The only person he is going to kill from now on is a vampire. With the vampire hunter dead the vampires are a major threat to mafia.

Or the jailer/inspector etc.

Those town roles need to try to try work out who and make sure they don't actually go visit the veteran

The Veteran was targeted. I don't think he would have been targeted if he was at risk of public vote. Although it was a 5 way coin flip...

I will rule Danilo out as I don't think he was active to ask to be put on guard for the night.

True, I'd forgotten about them. In that case it's definitely in the mafia's interest in keeping him alive.

I know it's early in the game but is it worth the veteran declaring who he is. Neither vampires or mafia dare target him just in case he's on guard. This also stops the jailer/inspector visiting him and the rest of us lynching him.

Of course he may have instructions not to reveal or may not care a jot whether town win or not.

It's probably one of the regular players that was fairly active yesterday, there were a few of them...

Yes if I was mafia I'd go for an active player as they are the most likely to discover who they are. Also if I was the veteran and I put myself on guard I'd be active and make myself a target, knowing only a lynch would kill me.

I was having similar thoughts about vet. Was trying to weigh up pros and cons on if he revealed.

If he revealed, then he just becomes a normal townie as chance of anyone attacking him is reduced.

If he doesn't then there are Mafia, vamp & arsonist that could visit from bad side that could get killed (although you'd assume Mafia wouldn't as they know who he is). And investigator/cop could visit and be killed from our side which would put us at big disadvantage. Jailer possibly (depends how that works if he visits him to get him and lock up).

obv the vamp would get huge boost in knowing the veteran and although not massive danger ATM as low on numbers in 1/2 days camps could be most dangerous and having vet as unknown would be a very good way for us to kill, as we lost the hunter.

I think its its worth keeping vet secret at the moment as exposing him may save one of our roles but hands things over to the vamp with massive advantage.

no the rules show that others can go out and kill. the cleaner will first then the framer, the recruit if needs be and finally the godfather. the game is designed to be a night kill every night by mafia.

I was at dentists so am delayed in posting wills. will also be counting votes and seeing how many valley posts there are and who wins a prize.
