if he is rated - why nobody bids for him ever. Atleast we could send Nando off of 2 year loan. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37950317 About time - for all the punishments he gave us last few years.
It is more or less confirmed. Mikel is leaving in a month. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38105031
Load of bollox about him being punished for playing at the Rio Drugfest. He has been gone for a while, and could not even get into this team, neigh squad, we have now.
Mikel isn't complaining, he states in the article he will remain ready for when he's called on. He's been a great servant and player for Chelsea your dislike of him is unbecoming Stan.
Cesc is used to being a fringe player, after all he was at Barca and was even used as a front player on occasions because their midfield were just too good for him to break into.
I don't dislike Mikel at all. He is a great guy as everyone knows. Unfortunately he doesn't do a Matic (minimum requirement in that position) let alone Kante. I dislike his position that is all
I do not think Conte is ignoring anyone in the squad. He has assessed what he inherited, has got a winning system and a winning team and really doesn't want to change that unless injuries or defeats force him to. He obviously has a budget and if he and Emanelo identifies someone they think can improve the squad and is attainable they become a target. If you are not in the first team you know you are one of those up for replacement. My thoughts on Obi Wan are that he is more to Chelsea than just a back up def mid. He is loyal and that counts for lots. He is a leader, he is sociable and pulls the squad together off the pitch much as JT does. He is not a natural def mid and definitely not a playmaker. He should always have been played further forward as his first touch and physical presence are his strengths. I've seen him train live, his 'tekkers' are as good as you'll find. At 29 he can sense a big payday where due to his seniority he'll get a chunk of any fee. He is behind in the queue for a Chelsea staff job. Another club would be a great move for him. I do not think he is pushing to leave, but if the perfect opportunity came for him then I'm sure he realises that loyalty aside he should take it. Chelsea players seem to become like long term prisoners. They become institutionalised and find it hard to re-integrate back into society. If they are lucky they find a way back.
Oscar apparently 90% certain to go to China in January for 52 million. Always liked him though he never reached the consistency required. For that money, you have to let him go. He's barely featured under Conte. Certainly shouldn't be letting Fabregas go as well though.
A little risky selling mid season though. Wonder if we will bring in a replacement or rely on the likes of Chalobah and RLC as midfield back up.
I'm inclined to agree. RLC and Chalobah need game time and Oscar is just taking up space as he clearly isn't in Contes plans. Super business for us. Puts back in the black with more funds to play with and gives some youngsters the opportunity they need to break into a regular spot.
Jesus christ! Can't really turn that down for a fringe player. that's silly money. He is worth half that, at a max!! Decent player and a good servant to the club, but we can buy much better for that price! Too good to turn down.
Should definitely be selling him for 52M. If it was 30M less i'd let him go. He's not getting a game and doesn't fit into this system anyway. Spend some of the money on a Left Footed defender.
I thought that Oscar at 60m is a deal of the century for us. Just found out that Oscar only has a year left on his contract!
Oscar for me has been an enigma, he is clearly supremely talented but has never really achieved his potential like Joe Cole. Has been steady for us but I think it's time for him to try another club.
