Eh? You have one of the best young strikers in Europe and you wont give him 95k a week? That's **** all compared to the wages useless ****ers like Rooney are on. Vardy is on 100k a week at Leicester ffs Lukaku is on 90k a week at Everton I think. And your chairman is paying 95k a week for Sisoko but won't stump up for Kane? Utter madness
I highly doubt Sissoko is on 95k a week, especially given the fact that the only other team interested in his "talent" was Everton, who have even less financial muscle than we do. Looks more like a number that the Sun has plucked out of thin air, coincidentally being the same source of most of their "news". Fact of the matter is, Levy has successfully enforced a strict wage bracket since he took over, which has allowed us to operate will within our financial means and build a new stadium without compromising success on the pitch. I would be more concerned if there was a long list of players who left us purely to make more money, but there isn't. The vast majority of departures leave because they want regular trophies. Only Keane to Liverpool stands out as a move that was probably more down to money than promises of glory, even if they are one of his 'boyhood clubs'. When you look at clubs like Villa, Rangers, Newcastle etc. and how badly their owners squandered the wealth at their fingertips, It makes you grateful to have such a sensible and frugal chairman in charge.
Could never take to him to be honest. Obviously I don't know him personally but I always found him irritating when he was being interviewed (and still do). Like you though, I agreed with him criticising certain players after the Chelsea match (I think it was that).
Back to business then after another international break These breaks must be prolonging the agony for Spurs fans - six and a half weeks without a win
So who is happier about the lunchtime match finishing 1-1: Moronho because he derives more pleasure from preventing other teams from winning than he ever has from having his team do something as daring as try and win a match, or Gooner fans given how much they seem to like celebrating 1-1 draws lately?
I am...got my prediction league off to a flyer. Can't stand Herrera...slimy Kant. Hope Dier whoops his bumboklaat next month.
Reasons we need to win today: i.) Like hell we want Scammer fans bleating about how they beat us 0-0 in our final meeting at WHL ii.) It would put us five points ahead of Man Utd iii.) It would keep us within a point of the top four iv.) At the time of typing, it would give us a six point advantage over Everton
