A man working for the Canadian Royal Mint has been found guilty of smuggling gold out of work hidden up his backside.
Leston Lawrence denied theft but was found guilty of smuggling gold bars worth £133,000 from his employers at the Royal Canadian Mint.
A judge at the court in the Canadian city of Ottawa in Ontario has found him guilty after ruling that he ‘clearly had the opportunity’ to steal the gold because he often worked alone and the security cameras would not have caught him slipping so-called gold ‘pucks’ into his pocket.
Justice Peter Doody added the additional incriminating factor was that the men’s locker ‘contained Vaseline and latex gloves, which could have been used to insert a puck into his rectum.’
Ooooofffttt!!!!
