The last member of The Magnificent Seven has passed. You just needed to remember him, Horst Buchholz and Brad Dexter to win at Trivial Pursuit.

Loved Robert Vaughn in that and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. One of the coolest looking images from the 60's is Vaughn dressed as Napoleon Solo.

No doubt that Leonard Cohen passing is sad, but I didn't buy any of his records so it would be a bit hypocritical of me to overdo it. On the other hand I don't think there was one thing that Robert Vaughan did that I didn't like. From 60s cool to relatively recently... heck he was even cool in Hustle without hardly doing anything!

I have this feeling that the media will be all over Cohen tomorrow, because there's something about his brand that seems somehow more newsworthy. Shouldn't really be a contest though, so it's probably wrong to be writing this at all. But I'm more sad about Robert Vaughan. There I said it.

    He was in Corrie too.

Played 3 U.S. Presidents, appeared in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The Magnificent Seven and The Towering Inferno - and was Milton Fanshaw in Corrie :emoticon-0136-giggl

Could be one of those links you sometimes find next to facebook, that are worded so you click on them. Basically lies. You know, something like "the word mourns the passing of Harrison Ford" and you click on it and find that he's gone shopping or something. And of course there are many that think you only find the "real truth" when you look online..... [insert appropriate emoticon]

It's been a thing since FB sacked their news trending team. They've only got themselves to blame.

Is this the thing that included Zuckerberg. I thought that was just the deletion of their accounts

Nope, they fired the whole trending team, who manually decided what to trend. Replaced them with an easily-gamed algorithm, as is the modern way. When a thousand FB accounts can be bought for $10, what did FB think was going to happen..?

Trump being dead was trending yesterday too. I thought that was funny

I see Under Armor are putting as much effort into the Welsh kits as they have with ours for the past few years: random gold bits and the kit just looking wrong.

On the plus side, our players don't have sponsors' names displayed on our backsides...

I can remember the Duchess of Kent remarking to Danny Blanchflower that the other team had their names on their backs.Danny retorted that his players knew each other!
    Ah!!!! Those days of old.....

Well not really in this case. In a two horse race if the winner didn't actually win, I would suggest the system is to blame not the voters.

He was such an eloquent man.
Could you imagine any English club captain of the past 30 odd years doing a proper
journalist job after hanging up their boots, as Danny Boy did ?? :)
