Gordon i have great respect for your football and the Sunderland support,but Jeeessusss mate its taking you a while to get the message stay or go, but change the tune i always liked your input om 606, your insight is very acute, think of forums as discos if you don't like the music you don't go, and frequent a place that suits you better this is great for me and a lot of like minded Sunderland souls.
It seems Gordon has now turned this into a personal thread against anyone who has the effrontery to have an opinion that differs to his. (With particular emphasis on myself.) There are one hell of a lot of posts on here and other forums, I disagree with, but would defend unto death their right to have them. Trust me I'm not stupid ( Whatever Gordon thinks ) enough to believe everything I write is correct. We are adults on a football forum and to be honest I find it astounding how restrained we have all been. I don't swear in front of my wife and children. But the language is cutting when I am at work or with my mates. The match, wish I had a penny for every time I have said . "oh, FFS!" The words not the letters over the last 40 odd years. I'm not naive enough to think there would be no swearing here. There was still swearing on the BBC 606 just hidden in the way it was typed. But and it is a big but I would quickly leave a thread that upset my quite evident sensibilities. Maybe I should trawl through every post till I find something that I can complain about? Be a waste of time as I'm too liberal! (In way of thinking not political affiliation ) I do hope I have phrased this so I don't ABUSE anyone.
I work in an online bookmakers, I sit every saturday afternoon watching the football in work and the amount of F's and B's flying about when the various goals go in and nobody bats an eyelid. I am an ex season ticket holder at Parkhead in Glasgow also, the amount of F's and B's flying around the stands and nobody bats an eyelid. It's part and parcel of a male dominated past time, and with it being filtered out by default there really shouldnt be a problem for the majority of people. If you are truly offended by ****s all over the place never mind unfiltered swear words then you need to pick a different hobby than football.
God is this still going on, my last visit to this thread because we have said all that can be said over and over again. No I'm not closing the thread, no point, its make your mind up time, not606 is here. I am staying, I will do all I can to improve it and enjoy it.
