IT Networking is a wonderful thing and not as simple as hiag and easily traceable!

Many moons ago i setup up a vpn between two merged companies one in England and the other in Ireland, the traffic route for the vpn was via New York! That cannot be controlled by people it picks routes randomly and then you have public v private ip address!

I worked for one of the Big 4 accounting firms before my current job ... my posts would have miraculously shown me to have been in Germany whilst at work then back in the UK in the evenings ..guess what? ... I was never in Germany...

Absolutely especially if you are using an MPLS (multiprotocol layer switching) vpn, then you could be in uk but the traffic coming out of an office in usa/Hong-Kong/Australia and so on...
