After the Brexit vote which was a slap in the face for established politics there was always a chance the Yanks would follow suit and vote Trump in, its certainly been a year of unexpected results in the world of politics, but I still didn't think the Yanks were this stupid, just goes to show anything is possible these days.
Same faces on my Facebook with their predictions of impending doom that were there saying the same **** with Brexit.

Trouble is Tel, The idiots we elect tend to play are manageable, Trump is looking to build walls, cancel trade agreements, reduce military in Europe and Asia making these regions very vulnerable. I genuinely now fear for the Baltic states. The World is a far more dangerous place today that it was last night.
Only if you believe one man has the power to do all of that. The guy is not Kim Jong Un mate. This isn't the movies. The long game still involves Iran and that'll never change, they won't spend hundreds of billions or Trillions of dollars establishing a strategic military advantage over 40 years and then pull out, the repercussions of this are incredibly bad for the US financially, they rely so heavily on arming their allies and that includes supporting them.
Some people have a habit of making extreme predictions at any given event in time nowadays.

I don't believe that Trump has meant a single thing he's said so far, he would say and do absolutely anything to get in power and that's what he did, my problem with him is that he's an execrable human being. Not flawed or a bumbling idiot but a morally bankrupt monster.
Pretty sure he would be forced to become more moderate once he steps in the White House, he will step into line. Otherwise he runs the risk of being bumped off by any one of the dodgy organisations who would like to keep the status quo.
As we exchange messages I am here at an Oil and Gas exhibition in Abu Dhabi (less than 100 miles from Iran) the 2nd biggest in the world, people from all over the world and some very big hitters in their chosen field, Believe me they are ****ting themselves. I absolutely take your points, but I just hope the rhetoric he was spewing out from months leading up this election, he does a u-turn on.

They're all pieces of **** mate, the reason he's got the vote is because he represents change, their people are sick to death of being screwed over, just like our majority (of voters) were when given our referendum. They believe they'll stand a better chance of taking back America under Trump than under Clinton.

I think he'll try some things, he has to get the support from his party obviously to do this... but on a military level, I can't see it.
If I was to make a prediction, I think he'll look to ease the sanctions on Russia, get the price of oil and gas back up for them so that they stop ****ing around with their idea of an alternative currency for trading stocks. I believe he has the business acumen to go about that and diplomatically do what's best for the world economy and not for Crimea.

I don't think Obama was a piece of ****, I always thought he was a good man who had the country's best interests in mind. I don't think Clinton was that bad either on a moral level, certainly not compared to Trump.
When it comes to electing an official I'll always want the least corrupt one of a corrupt bunch in charge, this has gone the other way.
If anyone thinks half the stuff he said is going to happen will happen, then they are wrong! Trump is a populist (and a long serving Democrat)

I don't think he'll do any of what he said, if he realised at the last minute that the only way to win would have been to U-turn on literally every policy that's what he would have done. Just empty words to get elected and that's a terrible foundation.
Of course mate, but the nice ones don't necessarily represent the best ones.
Obama is a great guy with a big smile and has the likability factor, but he's widely considered (especially by people in the US) to be one of the worst or least successful presidents of all time.
Trump will learn very quickly that this isn't just another business venture, he's a face, not a boss.
