Great goal by Dzeko that. Not a bad game so far, wouldn't be surprised to see a sending off in the 2nd half.

Would be unfair to judge him on that 1 goal.

Anyway can we actually sign a midfielder now?

Missed the first goal. Apparently goalie error as well? Knew this would happen when VDS left another awful era of keapers like when Schmiechel left.

Making more out of those goals than is warranted - no way De Gea could come for the first and the second moved late.

Second goal he failed the simple rule of keeping, always try get your body behind the ball, the first to be fair, he had two choices, expect noone touches it and follow the flight or expect a header and stand up 50\50, just on te first he was a little flat footed, but he's young and its early doors, obviously he's a good keeper, I seen VDS have a far worse day as good as he was.
Second goal the keeper was left a little exposed too, Rio and Vidic had their cameras out, I know Rio can do a bit of Ball spotting but Vidic is usually sharp, just saying not all the keepers fault

More open than I thought but we have been garbage in front of goal. I don't think the 1st goal was so much of a goalkeeping error, OK De Gea was in no man's land but he still wouldn't have saved it even if he was properly positioned. The second one should have been a routine save I'm afraid, no excuses. But let's not judge the bloke too harshly on just 45 minutes. He's a talented goalkeeper and I think will come good eventually.

Hope SAF gets the hairdryer out because that was a pretty poor first half and we need to do a lot better to win this

Nothing de Gea could do about the first, Lescott just wanted it more than Ferdinand. For the second the keeper probably should have done better. Man U looking fluid going forward but City winning ugly at the moment... That's a sign of champions, though, isn't it?

Well his price suggests he should be ready to compete at this level.

All i keep hearing form radio etc is he doesn't look anywhere near composed enough for the EPL <laugh>

To be fair, he will need some time and i do predict he will come good for you guys.

Wouldn't worry too much about the first goal - Spanish keepers aren't used to the sort of shenanigans that go on during set pieces in the PL so it'll take him a while to adapt. Reina at Liverpool is proof of that.

2nd goal was just a freak mistake
