Who is going to be the next President of the Yanks?

It's a shame that Trump is such a deplorable moron because Hilary is ****ing dangerous.

We have a long thread on the safc board about this. And its pretty indecisive. Clinton should win. But who knows.

360 million people and ir boils down to these 2 idiots. Scary.

Clinton, by a country mile. Anybody who thinks that Trump should be president of the richest and most influential country in the world needs their head examining. Fortunately, the US has a political system where the President is actually quite heavily curtailed by Congress and the Supreme court.

This is true, and it's why I think Hilary is the lesser of two evils.

Trump in the White House just ****s on those who have dedicated their lives for sexual and racial equality. There is no way that a weapon like him can be given that sort of position.

Trump winning is about as likely as us voting for for brexit...

Look what happened there <doh>

Clinton should win though or everyone's ****ed.

This lesser of two evils thing is annoying.
It's like being slapped in the face or having your nuts twisted off with a pair of rusty pliers.
Ok, you'd probably prefer to avoid both, but they're not particularly close, are they?
The mad orange ****er can't even be trusted with his own twitter password.

Completely agree except would change it to...

Shame Clinton is a self serving, lying piece of **** because Trump is one of the most dangerous, racist, gropey maniacs to ever have stood for election.

The thought of voting for her makes me queasy but as others had said ... better her than the alternative

That's the worrying thing. Nobody really thought we'd vote to leave the EU, but a pack of lies campaign actually persuaded people to vote for it.

In the US, you have some fairly liberal, educated and political thinking places like NYC, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego etc. But there are vast swathes of the US that are VERY conservative, full of Bible belt, anti-abortion, gun toting, racists.

It's no wonder Trump has gained so much popularity, but it is a ****ing scary prospect that he could actually win the Presidential race

Obama wanted to change the world, had good intentions, but remember all his policies (well most) were blocked by opposition. Blocked because of who he was, seemed personal to me. That classic quote "i'm president and I can't do a god damm thing".

Hilary may be regarded as "dangerous" but remember she is a good woman, she shares many of the same views as Obama, she wants to do the right thing - I hope she wins otherwise much of all the good work Obama done will be lost and replaced with Trumps vision.

Obama was naive and thought that he could get the Republicans to work with him and do what was best for the country.
Clinton's got too much experience to believe that and now has eight years of proof that it doesn't work.
She'll be far more likely to try to push things through, starting with the Supreme Court appointment.

It's both a blessing and a curse that the US system can curtail the president. Basically Congress and the Supreme court can quash anything that the President wants to pass.

Obama's biggest frustration will probably be Gun control, left to him he would have clamped down on gun ownership big time, but Congress, the Supreme court, various interest and lobby groups including the disproportionately influential NRA, basically stopped it in its tracks.

This will be the first thing that either candidate will change on day 1 of their presidency, that they make sure they appoint people that will ensure they get their bills through.

And the Republicans can't really complain if it's Clinton, as they've already said that they're going to block everything.

The widening gap between the rich wanting to get richer and the poor getting even poorer is the number one reason of the decline of the United States .

Reflected across the Western world ....

And the rest of it.

Yep, probably. Maybe a few pockets of exception here and there. But largely it's the corporations (and their puppet politicians) who lobby and devise policies to suit their own interests.
