We have a classic Board back the manager and fans sack the manager. If he is sacked it will cost much dosh and so the Board will hope it doesn't come to that. But all the signs are there that AN is not getting the team to play and the poor defense is getting poorer. What has happened behind the scenes is obviously not going to be revealed but we now have two away matches and two more defeats will put us mid-table. Then he will be given his P45.
Most of those either won't come here or are even worse than AN. That's the real reason we should back AN to turn it around!
I'd rather be without a manager than keep this joker. What you've written is exactly why we'll never progress, WE NEED A PROPER EXPERIENCED MANAGER! Throw the war chest at it, doing it on the cheap does not work!
Stupid term, but regardless of that, there isn't one - and nor will there be in the foreseeable future given Delia and Michael's bullish, selfish stance of insisting on playing 'keepsies' with the club Moxey said on deadline day in the summer that there would be no last minute additions to the squad as "the cupboard was bare". Why should it be any different now, we've not sold any players for big fees, etc. This club, I fear, is on an ever decreasing downward spiral - and just to cement what I've said, and in the words of our most passionate Col_Who fan, ...FACT!
That must have been typed in a moment of despair as there is no way your lot will finish outside the top 10.. Even as a Town fan I have been to watch you a couple of times and appreciate your frustrations (Mainly with Jerome..) but whoever you have in charge will be able to cobble together a team that will win enough matches in this league... No one will pull away (except Newcastle) and there is so much football still to be played it is ridiculous. Just look at who is around you, Huddersfield, Reading, Leeds, Fulham, Brizzle will all have their wobbles and return to their natural order of mid table mediocrity. If you are still on the slide at Christmas then fair enough, but there is so much time (and ability in the squad) to turn this around
On paper, yes, it should be (more or less) a formality. But without the passion, commitment and togetherness of our squad under Lambert, or Leicester City for example, last season, I don't see how we'll escape our current malaise. One misplaced / underhit pass (and there are many ) and you can see the heads visibly drop. And worst of all, the gaffer / coaching staff have no idea how to arrest and reverse it
Love your optimism Scowey, but with respect everyone says the same thing apart from those of us who watch every week. The football is dire, midfield is negative and non combative, defence leaks goals at the drop of a hat, Jerome works his arse off every week but gets no support. We have a group of players, what we don't have is a "team"! Manager plays the same system/players every week, but still tells us every week that things are/will improve....it isn't and won't while he's in charge!
My only concern is that if the problem at CR is player power and some of the players are taking out their own petty issues on the pitch then AN may be a victim of this scenario. As it's been stated before it's easier to sack a manager when results are poor than to sack a team
I know the last few weeks have been awful, but I'd see what the situation is at the beginning of December. I mean who else could we get, maybe someone who has connections.... oh wait tried that with Rodent, what about an ex player.... sorry Gunn, a young Scottish manager.... we had Lambert and now AN, I mean what does the club need.... Big Sam haha
