There are 12 of us booked 148 quid train and hotel............lads cant go other dates due to work and various reasons,Hotel has doubled in price and the train tickets?lets not go there. Who? at the club should we looking to contact any help there would be great.
I think you only have a chance if you have already bought the match tickets which I don't think you have as I wouldn't have thought they'd be on sale yet for a game in mid January. I'm not sure matches are ever moved after tickets go on sale. I've done the same before and booked accommodation and transport early to avoid higher prices but I kind of accepted the risk or paid the bit more for cancelable tickets as insurance. You would have no chance getting money back from the club IMHO if they hadn't started selling the tickets. Is having a lads weekend away an option and making the most of the situation?
The lads on the piss weekend is the option we are going for...We all decided that at the game yesterday..but in another twist do we buy our tickets for the game hoping there is a replay and the game is moved back...You could not make this **** up.. Thanksn for all you help regarding who to contact i knoe nothing will come of it but i feel we must do something just to high light the case .All fans must stand up for this kond of ****e...I mean why ****ing Brentford ffs,not exactly a top of the day clash.
I would suggest the first port of call would be the ticket office and they might relay it to the relevant department. And as someone said the supporters trust would be a good bet aswell to get some publicity for it.
I would love it if a fan actually won a claim. It would have massive implications. I can imagine a claim against the TV companies would follow suit. They would then think twice about televising games for fear that an irate fan may take action against them. A possible knock on effect? They could say sod it and pull out giving us our game back with 3pm kick offs. A lovely dream.
