Morning chaps and chapesses.
After reading some of the posts on here, with the result of some admiration, disbelief and much laughter in some cases, I was wondering if anyone would be interested if I ran an AWARDS ceremony.
How often this would run, I have no idea. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The idea is this. Say every month we voted on certain categories and the winners go forward to an end of the season award. Similar to goal of the season.
One of the problem being what categories could be used.

What I have in mind is somethiong like this.

Best thread starter. - Kennys attendances thread
Best overall poster. - RBF - poet laureate
Poster who has made most contribution. - Thai for his competitions
Funniest poster. - Dave
Best single comment. - Cromercanary
Best visitor to our boards. - JWM
Best signature - Dave

All suggestions would have to be seconded and I could go with the top 3 votes.

If it came off it would be run from the 1st of each month and voting would cease on the 28th of each month, giving me time to get all the votes in.
If people could post links referring to their nominations it could be handy as well.

What do people think?
Would this be a good/fun idea?

Answers on a postcard please or on a stamp if more appropriate.

I think its a goo idea but feel for Beefy being left out of your examples. Some of his comments have me in stitches when i read these threads :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Perhaps as a starting point, agree to what categories are open. You have listed 7 but maybe there could be more.

Biggest WUM for instance
Best group of visiting supporters

Could be others too but I am too tired to think just now <laugh>

Then monthly, 2 monthy, 6 months or whatever, create a poll for people to vote on perhaps

In All seriousness, we're all winners here. I like this site because every Norwich member is level headed and sensible. No gross over-reactions and positivity. Good stuff all round!
 
Have more or less got it all sorted now. Will post it all up on Wednesday, with all the rules etc, so if anyone has any comments or possible categories they would like to see included, leave them here.

Will be needing a small favour from our friendly mods if they are upto it.

I have heard this to be the case, Thai, and as someone who makes a frog look like a king by comparison, I only wish I'd had the chance to find out!

In my lengthy and numerous experience, I have found that the best wife you can possibly have, is someone else's!
