Southampton:smiley-finger007:, Brighton and Peterborough all won yesterday. What does this tell us if anything? Championship is not such a big step up. Took opposition by surprise. All 3 upped their game. Luck.

Don't think Brighton will be relegated, but Peterborough is an unknown quantity. They were the weakest of the 3 promoted sides, but depends what business they've done in the closed season. Can be new boy syndrome..where the opposition know nothing about you. They certainly know about us now!

I think it's a bold statement to say that the championship is not such a big step up. 1 game does not make a season. I think all three teams carried the momentum into the new season yesterday it's just a case of how long that lasts. Really hope we can maintain it though as the team spirit we showed yesterday made me proud to be a saint. They played for the club, the fans and each other.

I was suggesting what it could be. I didn't like Leeds style but could they see they were much tougher than most of last years opposition. It was good to test ourselves and see how we could perform. Keep up our home form and we will have a great foundation for a successful season. People keep saying that there are lots of teams capable of promotion, but we mustn't forget there must be some weaker sides in there as well. We must make sure we win those games..something we weren't always good at last season. One game doesn't make a season, but aim high and even with failure we could still finish with a good league position ready for 2012/20013.

Leeds are ****; not quite sure how they managed to finish in the top half of the table last season! Sounds like it was a decent game yesterday, welcome back to the Championship!

My tour guide in Portugal was an exiled Cardiff supporter. Had to go through his anguish during the play-offs. Made me so grateful that we came up auto rather than go through that lottery. Good luck in season (except for 2 games).

people say this season will be tougher, which no doubt it will be.. but Championship suits us better with teams attacking us and the style of play, suiting us better than 10 players behind the ball of league 1!!!

The pitches are ALOT better which def helps our wingplay... Lets see where we are in 10 games and then judge

I'll tell you one thing. If Poyet throws his toys out of the pram everytime things aren't going his teams way then he is in for a long season and a string of sending off's. And after our performance yesterday his 'long ball team' comment just won't wash when we beat them again this season. It certainly didn't wash last season and I also think Brighton will struggle in their new stadium just as some other teams have in the past.
