From a selfish point of view, i don't know who would be worse for the global stability of the world. Clinton who wants to go to war with russia or Trump who is an absolute cowboy who no one know will do what

seriously, clinton isn't going to war with anyone. if she is elected its business as susual for the world and its many many greedy self interests. 4 years of stability, growth, knowing whats what while she lines the pockets of the elite... the lower classes and poor of the entire americas are the victims

Elect trump and the stock market probably goes in flux wildly, nobody will know whats what. our pensions over here are affected etc etc.

I hope (without fear of sounding nasty) someone shoots the guy this week so this is a no risk policy.

<laugh>. Lol not nasty at all there haha.

I do agree, there will be most stability economically for Clinton. At the same time i think she'll want to be seen doing something in Syria and she has spoken about it quite openly i believe (not actually read/listened to what shes said just what i have been reading on forums). I think she will try to put a stop to putin which will mean more instability on that front.

Plus war means more weapons and spending on military for clintons buddies

    they all do...

Clinton mark i was desperate to send troops to haiti back inthe 1990s but they just sorted it at the 11th hour.

I'm sure clinton will want to do something but the first thing to do is to secure the oil fields of iraq and then all those kurds will be forgotten baout.

I'm sure the end game in syrai will be iraqi forces following up through the border and russia supporting the regime in syria to take the rest back. it'll be a carve up.

The "arab spring" has been a giant failure. Lybia is a disaster. Egypt quite quickly went back to the military dictatorship so the reality is syria will be a dictatorship as will iraq.

I sincerely doubt anyone will dare on any side put a stop to anything putin does. the bigger issue for that part of world is where does putin go next. ukraine is just one aspect but the baltic states are going to be squarely in his sites and are firmly in the EU. Clinton won't be solving anything. Merkel and may are the one sin the way of putin.

trump will simply appoint a cabinet to run the place in abstention and the rumsfields and chaney types will be back in.. its 100% war if trump gets in.

Clinton is just a snout in trough kind of gal... not that trump isn't in there with her.

you think Putin is trying to take over the world? I think as long as the EU are not trying to expand then Putin will not be moving on anywhere personally. From my perspective, i see us as the aggressors in all of this. Ukraine were doing just fine until the west tried to get a revolution going again. Again in syria it's been a **** show for 2 years and putin has decided to act.

I guess you can never say never though and i could be wrong in all of this

no I only think putin is out to restore the prestige of the soviet union and what he sees as russia's rightful dominions.

Many of the satellite states were really buffer zones but i do think Ukraine, Belorussia and certain other territories are firmly in his mind.

I agree that there has been a deliberate and accelerated grabbing of as many ex iron curtain states by the EU as possible. This has inevitably led to the EU becoming a total basket case. the ukraine is more complex than simply the two powers pulling this way and that however. There is a rather annoying to the establishment groundswell for the consumerist lifestyle of the west and this causes a lot of tensions.

Syria is a **** show beacuse of irresponsible actions of the west. in 2003..... once the decision was made to

    a) attack iraq
    b) dissolve the iraqii army
    c) spend years killing iraqiis then leaving the place to its own devices
    d) allowing a power vacuum to develop

Basically iran has a big say in iraq now. like it or not. the kurds want to make a state, they think they can so are out actively fighting with iraq forces for the first time.. they are going to get betrayed and slaughtered at some point. Syria is an artefact of this western interference just as lybia is.. lybia is the gateway to the med and the eu posts ships to pick up peopel rather than going in and taking out the scum taking all those peoples money and putting them on a barely afloat raft.

Putin sees syria as a line i nthe sand where the guys who buy off russia can come back and buy off russia again.. (arms etc)

I hope not, but it looks like that FBI director has ****ed things up. The email announcement appears to have cancelled out Trump sexual harassment.

I think war more inevitable with Trump. He will let Russia do whatever they want until it leads to defacto war. Clinton will be more likely to be a big enough bitch to Putin that his overt aggressiveness will be more covert , like what he's doing in Ukraine today.

It will be frosty but war won't come.

I still dont believe this tbh. I think it's a lot of hot air to create some drama by the media but he's probably going to get his arse handed to him.

Btw why doesnt Hilary stick Bill front and centre in ALL her PR campaigning. He'd win it for her.

I read an interesting article about how polls (in the US anyway) are becoming less accurate.

Firstly, there are a lot fewer polls than normal, and the sample data is smaller. It costs more to poll now than it used to because fewer people answer the phone. This means it takes more man hours to collect data from across enough demographics. Also certain voters may be more likely to answer.

Fewer polls also because news sites aggregate polls, so less publicity for those taking the polls, so less incentive to make them.

In truth, the polls may be nowhere near as accurate as they used to be.

eh no he wouldn't they ****ing hate him more than her cos he cost half the us their jobs in manufacturing. ie all the white males voting trump.

i'd like to think that in the end all the trump voters will vanish o nthe day and none have bohtered their arse to vote and its a landslide but the depth of hatred of clinton is just too deep i think.

I honestly think it will come down to just 3 states, Florida and Pennsylvania for sure.

Yeah. Hardly worth bothering to vote if you're not in a battleground state.

its very odd democracy in action.

if trump wins i dunno texas (which he will) then it stands to reason the republicans win the senate seats and congress seats there too.

In short it seems to me that up to something between 30 and 40% of peoepl in texas might as well just move if they want their votes to count. but then again in california its the opposite.

Yeah, the only time candidates come to SC or listen to SC is during a primary. I've been here 20+ years, I don't think any nominated presidential candidate has stepped foot in the state in that time.

North Carolina, now a battleground state, they're there every week.

well you would think that such a situation only leads to the state being taken for granted and that it gets less federal fund and attention.

Surely south carolina would just flip once in a while no?

anyway... trump somehow got away with his antics the first time out and progressively ramped it up. he simply never apologised. I think we saw in past 2 presidential elections that republican candidates made one error and were just wiped out in primaries.

Trump has not had one non mistake/deliberately insulting/ outright racist speech or debate and has been solid in polls. He should have been wiped out a year ago. either the lesson taken will be never apologise or the lesson will be need decency in future.

I think its more likely future candidates will try to ape this **** and say stuff and be bare faced than be decent and upstanding.

Never does. Always reliably Republican. Now cities, like the one I'm in, with over 50% blacks might occasionally vote Democrat but for whatever reaaon, turnout for black voters is lower than white voters, so Republicans still seem to win 90% of offices.

Almost every white person in my state is Republican and almost every black is Democrat. Be that as it may though, even the white Republicans I know here hate Trump. I don't understand the polls putting him ahead. All I can think is the rednecks in the foothills of the mountains are voting for him en masse.
