Agreed - I wasn't happy when we were linked with Mane for that price but at least he was the type of player we needed to compliment the attack. Matip is a ball playing centre back who adds some height as well. Klavan is just a back up. Gini is a clever attack minded player who can play quickly and under pressure. Strong links to Tah and Sule - two very upcoming talented defenders with physical presence, and Dahoud who is a techcnial CM. It's part of the long term strategy that fits Klopp's vision.
We will sign no one in January as our owners have frequently stated 'January offers little value for money'. Sakho will probably leave on loan.
West Ham have joined the race for Argentine attacker Naza Bazan Vera, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea also interested in the 17-year-old Manchester United and Juventus are battling to sign Real Madrid defender Pepe, who has been pushing for a new two-year deal at the Santiago Bernabeu. Manchester United defender Antonio Valencia is out for six weeks after a hand operation. The FA have offered Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard a fast track into coaching to help the England team. England goalkeeper Joe Hart says he is not focusing on returning to Manchester City whilst on loan at Torino. West Ham have joined Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in the race for Argentinian forward Naza Bazan Vera.
They're not in our league. They could be below us if they were. Can't buy from Barca as we beat the, 4-0 in the summer and they beat City who are level with us. And we beat Arsenal who are also level with us. I think we should raid Burnley by default and get Heaton.
I think Klopp will buy the right player whenever he can, if it happens they are available in January then so be it. We know Klopp loves his players to have a "preseason" when returning from time out so January signings probably won't play too much anyway. If there isn't the right player then he won't buy for the sake - he went into the season ignoring cries for a LB because he already had the plan for Milner there. And now we can see the plan is for TAA to cover RB.
That's what I thought too. Was always just over 5'11 but recently the docs office keeps measuring me 5'10 1/2.
Southampton youngster Sam McQueen is unwilling to throw the towel in on his St Mary's career amid speculation regarding his immediate future. The 21-year-old has been linked with moves to Premier League champions Leicester City and Liverpool as his contract enters its final 18 months. The 21-year-old has been drafted into left-back following injuries to Ryan Bertrand and Matt Targett, making six senior appearances this term including in the Premier League defeat to Chelsea. The protégé was replace by Bertrand from the start for the 2-0 loss and the increased competition could yet see him forced out of the south coast club
BILD: Sead Kolasinac, whose Schalke contract expires next summer, could join Liverpool on a free transfer. #S04 #LFC
depends where he plays... hes a left full so that would be good. he is also from swabia like mr klopp... Karlsruhe is not too far form there... so... should be a worker. after that he isn't precisely already a break through player so klopp might be seeing a bargain here to mould into what he wants.. he had played games but not as a out and out must pick for shalke.
Plays LB for the first team but interestingly plays CB for the B team. Here's hoping he's as good as the last free transfer from Schalke!
Liverpool transfer rumours: Reds target Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk please log in to view this image Virgil van Dijk of Southampton looks dejected Are Liverpool ready to flash their Southampton loyalty card and head back to the South Coast for another addition? Perhaps, if you believe reports floating around the web today.. Liverpool are interested in Saints centre-back Virgil Van Dijk, according to, er, Micky Quinn. Yes, Micky Quinn says Liverpool are going to buy Van Dijk. You might want to pick up a fistful of salt for this one, never mind a pinch. “I believe they’re interested in Van Dijk, when the transfer window opens up,” Quinn revealed. “They love a Southampton player, they’ll probably go back again.” Not that Liverpool fans would be complaining if Jurgen Klopp decided to move for Van Dijk. The Dutchman has been one of the most consistent defenders in the Premier League since signing for the Saints in the summer of 2015 from Celtic. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...verpool-transfer-rumours-reds-target-12113592
