I was thinking about it, and I think the reason why Lambert didn't look like scoring is that we had no width whatsoever. We were going down the middle with Lallana cutting inside/ going all over the place (in a good way ;) ) and Guly not really going down the flanks, we didn't really put many crosses in. I'm not saying this a bad thing by any stretch as it's obviously worked well! But maybe Lambert will not score as many if we don't play with as much width?

I love Kelv but his distribution was absolutely appalling once again today. He's 34. He has been playing professional football for 17 years. Today was his 585th career appearance - and yet he cannot kick a ball straight or to a player on the same team as himself. Frustrates me because he is one of the best shot stoppers outside the Premiership (and one of the best penalty stoppers I've ever seen too!) and he showed a glimpse of that with that brilliant save from Paynter's shot in the second half... So WHY can he not pick out a target before his 10th attempt? Sorry Kelv, I love you really lad you just annoy me :(

I think Hammond really put the effort in today. Proved all the people who said he may not adapt to Championship football wrong and showed his passion and desire for the club. First choice CM pairing with Cork for me, and also deserved captain. Hope he keeps it up.

IMO Richardson could be in with a shout for man of the match - dealt will Gradel very well indeed.

Agreed. At halftime he was my Motm.

On the ratings:
Harding deserved more than 6 - give him a 7
Hammond - 8
Lambert - you're having a laugh with a 6. He was strong, set up the first, won lots of headers and had kisknobhead trying to rape him all day, so 7
Richardson - 8
Davis - 6 is a bit harsh really, so 7 too

Can't remember if Lambert set up the first but he held the ball up really well and fed it through to Lallana for the 2nd, deffo at least a 7 for me.
