Actually DD, it just shows how little you know/understand, as in this context 'would if' is quite correct; but it would have (would've) made easier reading if ILD had perhaps used a comma after 'if' - ie Pritchard would, if he was given half a chance!!!

Did it on my phone so not easy to add punctuation, should of learned to do that by now! <laugh>

As for the original comment, ILD, Pritchard was given 120 minutes against Leeds and responded well with a goal and an assist. Some have criticized his signing but I think he'll be a big player for us for the rest of the season and if he'd not signed for us he'd probably be playing for Brighton on Saturday. <cheers>

I agree Rick, but AN HAS to play him more regularly. Perhaps not against Brighton, but certainly against Leeds the following week.

The context was in general not just one game. He's not getting enough play time in the league. I agree he could be a big player if he's given a decent run of games.

Pritchard is not very good at penalties , no run up straight at the keeper chest height .

I don't think anyone thinks he's a bad buy. For me I think he, along with Maddison are a very good buy, my only issues is the number of players we have for his position. I expect he will replace Hoolahan over time and Naismith may well go in January. Our pressing need, as it has been for many months, dare I say years, is another quality CB.

It's ok Russel Martin has brought this up and he and Alex are addressing this by doing some defence practice .
They are well aware that the they need to work on the defence Neil has been saying this for months .

Meanwhile there is a possibility of a new CB on the horizon.

http://readnorwich.com/2016/10/27/norwich-close-signing-modibo-diakite/?

Be interesting if it happens and could just be what we need.

'It’s believed that Alex Neil wants to add some experience to his defence ' really if anything we have plenty of experienced CB's, what we need is a reliable quality CB. I don't know enough about Diakite to take a view on whether he's a good buy or not, but being a free agent doesn't fill me with confidence. I guess a short contract would be okay, but only if he's seen as second choice alongside Klose. If he isn't then why are we signing him.

Mr Diakite has had more clubs than most and each move was a free transfer which didn't work out. Doesn't fill me with much enthusiasm but short term and cheap should prove a great attraction for our beloved Board. On the same theme I think we must assume that any striker coming in January will also be of the same ilk.

Neither are the rest OF them apart from Dorrans.

Dorrans scored a good penalty, but I thought Oliveira's was the best of the night, high up into the left hand corner. Much will depend on him for the rest of the season as well. As for Diakite, I was hoping that he might do a job like Yobo did a few years back as an experienced strong defender but we'll have to see what comes of it.

Surely the clock must be ticking for AN now. For this league we have a damn good squad. We just do t seem to be making any progress. We cannot keep a clean sheet and struggle to hold a lead. Many of the players look unfit and fade in the final half an hour and frankly a number of our so called better players look disinterested.

My patience has ended we look horrible in every position clueless management and transfer dealings .
Neil Adams was better than this with a lesser squad.
