He was pretty upbeat despite the disappointment at the end. "I want the sort of firepower that Reading have got up front....and what they can bring off the bench" is what he said. Sums up what we all want - and he says it's the "next stage" for the Club.

So bring it on - if you'd said to me '2-2' at 3.00, I'd have bitten your hand off...

all very well wanting the firepower, now it's time to go out and spend some of the Moro money and get Le Fondre etc. That way we will be up there challenging for promotion and the "next stage" rather than settling for a mid table finish which is where I see us ending up at present.

Its still a great point despite feeling like we've dropped two and its no secret that Reading have goals all through the team and they will surely be up there in the mix at the end of the season.

Its the same old thing of conceding late in the game whereas if they'd equalised earlier in the game it wouldn't have felt like what if so much so never mind and bring on Florest. <ok>

must have been gutting to see us throw away a 2-0 lead so close to the end, I know an away pt at reading will be seen as good on paper but 2 pts dropped as far as i'm concerned.

On paper Reading are a very strong side with strenghth and depth thru out their side and at the start would have settled for a point , but nonetheless when youre two goals up with five mins to play and concede 2 goals in that time its def 3 points dropped and youve got to take advantage of what youve created , i just hope we dont concede late goals when a head as theirs nothing more annoying when leading up till the end and losing!!, but today was very encouraging with paul merson on sky giving us a glowing report, nice to see henderson putting himself about a bit . regarding firepower ,im with you mfc_ lion, lets get another good striker in with options on the bench as were a reletively small squad which could hamper us when we collaberate injuries which could effect our results.

I was rather excited with 10 minutes to go and seeing Wall 2 up away from home! Somewhat deflated after the final whistle, not so much because I really wanted you to win but really wanted Reading to lose <laugh> (Stil not forgiven them for cheating last season at their place!)

Still early days though but while agreeing with MFC lion, you perhaps should be looking at a top 6 finish, a mid table finish would not be the end of the world.

It's 2 points dropped. If we had played a Reading side of last season I guess it would be good but you have to look at the circumstances of the 2 late goals and subs that took place. We have a starting 11 and nothing else to speak of. Needed some more prowess before today in the transfer market and the longer it takes the more desperate and perhaps costly in terms of losing good players/points dropped/higher price paid for signings it may well be. If we're serious about this season and top 6 there has to be players up to CC quality throughout the squad. If we get a forward injured we aren't coming down with options and the bench wasn't shining quality.

Fire power? ermm i disagree totally!

going 2-0 up at Reading shows we have goals maybe another striker for back up purposes but we need to focus on having a strong bench! the first 11 showed that they can match the top teams the subs that came on however lost us the match! Hackett shocking player!

Thought Hackett was going at one point and think Barron doesn't offer much at this level. Poor backing off and marking for their two goals though.
