By that token we have Romeu, PEH, Reed, Classie and Davis. We dont need him either. But I would be very happy to have him and move two of those on.
It's a bit different though isn't it? They have Sissoko and Wanyama who are new buys, then they have Dier and Dembele all good youngish players. Our midfield can be easily upgraded.

Tbf if you look at what teams that could buy Morgan ( excluding us) it is basically only Everton, West Ham in the Prem.

I'd say PSG & Monaco only likely possibles in France, unless Marseilles new owner wants to splash the cash
Wonder how much United will demand? I wouldn't see us going above £20m if we have any ambition to buy him back.

There were few fans who liked this guy as much as I did. OK Mrs G, but the difference is I didn't fancy him. I always thought we looked better with him on the pitch. But would I welcome him back? Going back rarely works in any work environment. There would be a lot of baggage, even given the warmth of the farewells to him from fellow players, staff and fans alike. He is now not "our Morgan" whom we created and watched proudly stepping out to take on a bigger world. He's a Man Utd reject, and we and he would need time to adjust to a new relationship with him. It's possible it would work, but Morgan is a very intelligent young man. He'll be aware of the difficulties, attractive though a return may appear to him (and I can't help feeling that it would - after all he grew up at Saints and was loved and respected). We've moved on.

Channon came back and it worked, but he was an exception. It will take a lot to make it work.
