Closer to home, it's emerged that upon hearing that Boris Johnson crashed out of the Tory leadership race, David Cameron sent him a text reading "You should've stuck with me, mate" - which is possibly the first thing Cameron has done that made him appear human

Wouldn't it have been wiser if, knowing that Boris had designs on his job, Cameron kept his enemies close and found a spot for him in the cabinet to keep a leash on him? Except that was hardly Cameron's way of doing things, given how long he took to address the Scots referendum or Britait campaign, and made an utter hash of both.

What about, "call me Dave" ??

I see that the latest trump scandal to break is that a woman was in his bedroom about ten years ago, and he kissed her "without asking permission".

How this @@@@ gets media coverage, i have no idea.

I reckon she's going to divorce him tbh. No eye contact, nothing.

If you're reading gorgeous, i'll look after you <ok> *

I've been wondering if His wife was one of those "anything for a green card marriages"?
I mean,he's fat, weird,mouthy,old......but rich!

* you'll have to supply the money obvs

More vidence supprting Trump's contention about media bias.

I thought this kind of gutter journalism had been criminalised in the UK now ?
His people getting caught doing something illegal and unethical proves a media conspiracy?

I don't want upset anyone again, but the reality is Smithy that there are a lotttttt of women who are mainly only interested in two things from a guy :

1. His willy
2. His bank balance

And the older they get, the less they care about the willy.

Saying that, whilst I doubt Trump is much of a lover, I suspect that he is actually a caring, kind and loving man to his wife. And she's probably classy and genuine enough for that to count almost as much as the money.

The media saying that they set up a sting operation suggests a media conspiracy to me, yes.
It suggests journalism to me. That's what they do.
I had no sympathy for Allardyce when they did it to him, either.

Who are they conspiring with and why?

Does a conspiracy require a cohort ?
Does a sting not suggest an attemp to conspire ?

This is just semantics tbh PNP.

The paper set up a sting against a candidate in an overseas election. to me that is one example (amongst others - and no, im not going to name them), that the media is attacking the Trump campaign. To suggest that this is not such an example, strikes me as somewhat obtuse.

The Newspaper set up a Sting? Why, have they run out of women who voluntarily went to his hotel room 10 years ago because they were after his wallet and after he tried to kiss them, had a 'shock' reaction 10 years later when offered copious amounts of money to spill the beans by the Democratic Party Machine? And if he'd not tried to kiss them? They'd now be accepting copious amounts of money from the Democratic Party Machine claiming he was an Iron or something.

Unless you have spent the last 50 years in solitary confinement, whoever you are you will have something about you that the press can blow up out of all proportion.

Genuinely interested what you've seen to make you think this. I imagine him to be as aloof and boorish as he appears in public. I've seen nothing that suggests a nice man underneath the vitriol. Not that you necessarily need your President to be a nice man.

Probably the only redeeming feature of Hair Donald is that he is in presidential
hustings as he is in person. There is no deceit or second-guessing on what kind
of man you will be getting as president of the USA should you vote for him.

Yes, absolutely. He hasn't compromised anything, he just says it how he sees it. An admirable characteristic, I would just prefer that he was a different personality in the first place.

He flip-flops on everything. His views change with the wind, if you can even find out what they are in the first place.
All he does is slag off whatever the opposition have done and then say that he'll make it better, using the best ideas and the best people.
Meaningless platitudes.

If you can manage to get him to give an opinion on an issue and get him to say what he'd do about it, then it's utter crap.
He's usually wrong, his solutions are completely unworkable and the experts that he'll claim are advising him don't even exist.
Then he'll change his mind and say that he didn't hold that position in the first place. Liars! Sad! Wrong!

Remember his wall and his embrace of Nigel Farage, recently? How's this as a contrast:
http://edition.cnn.com/2013/01/22/business/opinion-donald-trump-europe/

"We will have to leave borders behind and go for global unity when it comes to financial stability."
"Rationality must rule."
"The future of Europe, as well as the United States, depends on a cohesive global economy.
All of us must work toward together toward that very significant common goal."

How has he gone from that to bad hombres and nasty women? Probably because he didn't write it in the first place, to be honest.

Yes, I get what you are saying. I just don't think he is very clever and I think he flip flops on issues because he doesn't understand them. I think he means what he says when he says it. Otherwise he should learn to lie in a way that would have stopped him having his campaign derailed every five minutes.

He constantly lies, though. He's just not any good at it, so it's bloody obvious.
This is a Presidential nominee that actually used the words:
"No puppet. No puppet. You're the puppet. No, you're the puppet."
That's like a five-year-old arguing with one of his little friends. It's embarrassing.

You must log in or register to see media

It's hard to even parody that, it's so bad.

It's both laughable and scary that such a deeply flawed, mentally unstable character could ever have got to the brink of being elected to such high office.

I'm afraid it says much about the parlous state of both major parties that they can't come up with anything better than these two!...
