Marshall has done very little wrong and I fail to see how he can be blamed for either goal yesterday. What he can be 'blamed' for yesterday was making two blinding saves from Arnautovich, and no I don't give a **** if the spelling is wrong. The first one was with his feet about 5 minutes after their first one went in. The second was in the second half when the pony tailed tit only had Marshall to beat. Looks like I'm in the minority but I rate him very highly. As for Phelan? Absolutely clueless, Keane up front on his jack was an out and out cluster **** of a decision. He looked out of his depth from the first minute and the fact he kept him on as long as he did was totally unforgivable. It was shocking management. And don't get me started on Meyler because it will send me into a spiral of anger and melancholy rage that I won't be able to recover from. Phelan's team selection was ****e, his ineptitude to change when things were going tits up is more than worrying. It will have us down by Christmas.
Phelan in. Remember, no one else wanted it. Why oh why oh why oh why did we force Steve Bruce out?? Why? Totally unnecessary. People can get angry about Phelan but it changes nothing, the real villain is Ehab Allam for creating this unnecessary situation by taking a needless risk in forcing Bruce out (cowardly as well, remember) and then showing his ineptitude to complete his little scheme. Phelan just tried to be professional. Not good enough to do it?? Irrelevant. We have no other option because of Ehab Allam so demanding his sacking and replacement is futile as Ehab cannot facilitate a replacement. Get behind him, it's our only option.
reckon Dowie'd do it if we asked him nicely? wonder if we went looking in the lower leagues we could find a decent manager that would like to cut his teeth in EPL.
should have given it to warnock, he'd have put a bit of fire into their stomachs. Not everyones cup of tea but he's good in these situations
I agree with you with regards to boy wonder not sure about your defence of Phelan because his tactics and team selection guaranteed that we would lose against the worst Stoke side I've seen in years.
Maybe so but we're stuck with it aren't we - that's my point. Maybe he will get sacked but why would someone come and work for Ehab now? They wouldn't in the summer. Having Phelan as manager is better than having no manager at all. I think, anyway.
thought we were on the verge of a sale anyhow http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/hull...ers-fortunes/story-29827392-detail/story.html
Agree about Marshall. No blame on him for either goal. And, as you say a couple of good saves. Agree with your other observations as well.
Meyler should have been shelved as soon as we went up, he was cack last time we were in the PL. An asset in the Championship but no higher. Would rather see Bowen in there.
Biggest load of bollocks ever, if it had gone tits up with him, there'd be crys of we should have given it to Phelan!
No they don't. They have strikers. Yet again we have a few decent players but with glaring gaps in the squad. Plenty of centre mids as always but no strikers and no attacking wingers. We always seems to end up with a squad like this even when we spend big.
His plan B was to stick every attacking player we had on the pitch at the same time, then to giggle to himself in the post match interview when saying "god knows what system we were playing toward the end". That's no plan B; I could do that. I don't miss him. But I do miss new owners, I missed Dawson, I miss our only 2 senior full backs, I miss our new CF (finally someone with some presence who can hold a ball up), and on Phelan's behalf I miss 6 of his staff. Ehab, you must be so, so proud of the mess you've created. All that said, I can't defend Phelan's tactics & selections of late.
