I'm in no position to judge you. Other than to the extent that I judge that you are in no position to judge me.
Memories! I can remember sitting by the fireplace alone at home aged 9 listening to "Journey Into Space" on the "wireless"......with the poker in my hands.I was scared to death! Brilliant series.....and I've managed to get hold of the 3 series. Very, very neat for it's age.
I also listened to PC49....and to this day I refer to policemen or their cars as "a 49". "Evening all!".
I'd throw in Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Michael Jackson, Prince, Queen and AC/DC. By the way, did you know that Taylor Swift is the 15th most succesful musical artist of all time ??
Fair enough, but I'm not sure it's possible to directly compare pre-download to download-era artists (yes I know the best selling earlier artists are still available download). Also it says Cliff Richard, Diana Ross, Scorpions, Charles Aznavour,Bing Crosby, Gloria Estefan, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Tom Jones, The Jackson 5, Dionne Warwick, the Spice Girls, Luciano Pavarotti, Dolly Parton, Ozzy Osbourne and Andrea Bocelli are omitted (not high enough percentage of "certified units"). In addition to Taylor Swift, also sad to see that Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Flo Rida, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are way up there - and I don't even know who Flo Rida is (I remember when it was a place to go on holiday).
Rhinna's actually incredibly talented tbf, and there's more Flo Rida tracks I'd want to listen to than Led Zeppelin or Pink Flloyd.
Darn you Spurf.Nearly brought tears to my eyes! Two of my all time favourites. Brian Moore And our Jim. Down on your knees Messi and clean his boots!
The Jam, the Clash, Happy Mondays As a kid I loved Boney M and ABBA. Even crap music was better back in the day
