First proper bet of the NG season today

3.30 Cheltenham Boondooma 15/2 each way

I think we're on a workable mark and the master plotter will have him spot on for today. Not many better at aiming a horse at a race. He's up there with the Skeltons for that and I'd expect a hell of a run from the good Doctors charge.
SIZING PLATINUM for me in that race looked a natural over fence when he started off then wobbled abit but with change yard could just do the trick to rekindle some of that form

Just one for me today in the form of Top of the Town in 4.05 at HQ. Backing Charles Byrne's runners at Chelts has proved fruitful in the last few years and this lad should certainly make his presence felt. This is a very competative affair with course specialist Call the Cops and a couple of Elliot runners in there as well so I'm happy to go ew on TOTT at 7/1.

Another winner for Charlie boy at HQ Stickler, he's started the season well, fair play to him:emoticon-0148-yes:

3.00 Cheltenham Gibralfaro 7/2 with Paddy Power.

I think this a monster price for a horse who will strip fitter her than on seasonal bow and getting weight from all bar the outsider.

Fecking rubbish, unlike his stablemate Sceau Royal who has absolutely bolted up <yikes>

Okay, do not shoot the messenger...

Text from a friend: Cheltenham 4:05 Zarib. Looked on Oddschecker and it is 13/2 favourite.

To Be Wild - Hugo Palmer

Dam a half sister to Al Kazeem, slow away and absolutely clueless in Newmarket maiden won by Mustajeer, stayed on nicely from 2 out to finish 5th, not far behind Mengli Khan in 3rd. Should come on a ton for that and a step up to 1m2.

Hoping to see a nice performance from Shantou Village today. Won't be easy against Brother Tedd though.

Decent looking bumper for which I will nominate two horses. Firstly, Kalinisi Circle from Ben Pauling's yard, a full brother to the yard's excellent Barter's Hill, who will likely want further with time but should relish the hill. Second on debut to First Drift who has since won again under a penalty in emphatic style, I like his form much better than the Nicholls hotpot's and at around 11/1 he looks value. I will also give an e/w shout to Laura Morgan's Thomas Todd who finished 2nd in a Kelso bumper and might have won had Adam Wege not dropped his whip. The third placed horse that day, Malcolm Jefferson's Temple Man, has subsequently split 2 very smart types in Ravenhill Road and Test Pilot (albeit at wide margins). 50/1 available on this one.

I await the Bumper King's thoughts :)

I like your selection Odddy and moreover cannot wait to see First Drift over hurdles this season. Looks like a horse that could put Ben Case well and truly on the map. As you are having two I will have a saver on Brillaire Momento who gets a very handy mares allowance!

One to take out of the Racing Post Trophy race is Salouen. The sticky going went against him after the rain shower; jockey Tom Marquand said he hated the ground. Nevertheless, Sylvester Kirk's charge stayed on really strongly to pip the fourth for third place. On good ground doubt if he would have beaten Rivet though, but if Salouen trains on I think he is well capable of landing a decent Group 1 race next year. Yucatan was disappointing, but does have a lot to learn.
