You know that feeling when everything seems to be against you. I was looking forward to seeing how he got on in this league. This surely will be a miracle if we stay up.
Jake was absolutely diabolical at right back in that game. And I agree about Elmo. He's not been switched on defensively this season which is a shame because the season we got relegated I thought he improved his defensive side a lot and didn't look out of place in a back four. He's definitely not a winger, and playing him there will move Snodgrass away from the only position he's ever looked like being effective.
We must be the unluckiest/worst club at injuring players during rehabilitation. We seem to almost always have setbacks.
The loss of Snodgrass in our last premier league season was a major factor in us being relegated. I think the loss of Odubaju will have the same effect on the team this season. He's too good to lose and we have no one to replace him. I only hope, for his own sake, that long term he makes as good as recovery as Snoddy.
Poor sod. Genuine shame for him and the team. It looks like it'll be a bit of a groundhog day for him as he'll likely 'wake up' back where started: back in the Championship. On the plus side, it's unlikely he'll be sold.
24 hours? I'll petition the Lord with prayer. I was thinking about our last relegation and I think we only held onto the likes of Diame and Snodgrass because they were injured for so long the season before. But if he's out for 24 hours, might as well sack him a la Wayne Jacobs.
