For tomorrow we have a similar squad to the one that faced Swansea. There are no injuries and everyone is available.

They continue their preparation as they have been out for a long time. I think they need sharpening up now but they are not far away.​
 
A classic 7-2 or something absurd like that. The sort of game Carlos Vela would have scored 4 identical lobs in before half time.
 
Odd we have xhaka on the bench when he is about to serve a 3 match ban.

It is also odd wenger does not want to appeal the red card. I think he actually prefers Coquelin and therefore he doesnt mind (and also why he already plays him for CL)

That's what you get from a world class player. He has the skills to pull off wonder strikes like that. Something you'd imagine Pires to do.

Yep, Pires, Henry, Bergkamp could all do that. We've not had a player since, maybe RVP but he only gave us one good season.
 
Ludo are quick on the break. We need to make sure we don't let them back into this game. We've got the potential to put this one to bed sooner rather than later, there's more goals in us tonight.

The ox looses the ball in front of Alexis. He just stands there.alexis chases it down, then chases it again and get a free kick. Whilst the ox stood at the same place. This guys needs to increase his work rate!

He does, but to be fair. Sanchez is a beast and would chase and chase for 180 minutes if you let him !
 
Two absolutely sublime goals in the first half. Top quality stuff. A little bit concerned that we're allowing Ludo to play through us and break, but even if they score I think we've got another 2 or 3 goals in us tonight.
 
The two goals have been excellent finishes. Walcott and Sanchez are a great pair to have at the front of the pitch.

Ospina has been quality when he has his chances in these CL games.

Oxocube is looking lively when he has the ball but his final ball still needs to improve, he should have put it on a plate for Walcott but over hit it. And he sometimes tries to do too much.

We are letting them play a bit too much in the middle of the pitch, we are pressing strongly at the front and at the back but in the middle they are being stood off long enough to pick a pass, we are giving them too many easy options. That said I've been impressed with Ludo in possession, they are sharp with there passing and happy to play one or two touches. I'd maybe consider bringing on Xhaka or El Neny for Cazorla for extra energy and solidity through the centre.

Gibbs has looked good in a rare start as well.
 
Oh and I love that as everyone charged into the box for Walcotts goal he peeled off to the edge of the area and Ozil finds him with a lovely ball, most players would have just swung it into the box but Ozil sees all!

I don't think we're pressing enough from the front, that's why Ludo are able to play it out and through us. There's not enough pressure on the ball in their final third when they have it
