The original plan for Liverpool Waters will largely remain unchanged. I'm told the idea for the surrounding area of the ground is to make it a destination for tourists, the football quarter idea that was mooted for SP.In all honesty I would hate LFC to leave Anfield. When the King's Dock was mooted I was firmly against it. I acknowledge I'm way too sentimental and while I see your club's need for a move, if I was a blue I would be more sad to leave than excited at the prospect of a new ground.
A dock stadium would do more for the city - we'll have to wait to see what actually happens. Joe couldn't care less about the heritage status so we could end up with a nice new stadium bound by cheap motels and fast food outlets. Welcome to the great Port of Liverpool.
If the stadium design is iconic then it could enhance the skyline and given the previous of the architect who's been working on the brief it could be something quite exciting, it won't be an identikit out of the box, cheap effort like the Kirkby proposal, that's for sure.
