Depends how you're thinking about the side. In the modern game a thug like Keane would be a liability.
and souness would not??

Jimmy was certainly hard but didn't carry the air of menace Souey did (mind you it was a bit more solid menace than ephemeral air )Tbf back in Souness's day most if not all sides had "hard" men, back then the game was more physical, i personally think Jimmy Case was more of a "hard" player than Souey.![]()

Still remember Jimmy smashing in a volley which hit the advertising hoardings behind the goal and the ball appeared to shoot up about 60 foot in the air it was travelling that quick.
Mind you it may be slightly exaggerated by the passage of time![]()
A true neutral would put Alonso alongside Schooled. (Scholes but I like how autocorrect trolled his name)

You are all wrong...

I was gutted when Case left tbh always really liked him as a player but players come and go - so often these days i struggle to keep up
not even entirely sure why but I always felt like laughing at sammy.Couldn't believe we got rid of Jimmy because of Sammy Lee coming through the ranks, I liked Lee but would have preferred we kept Case.
