One German panicked and was worried The 2 Irish went to the pub, the Italian started to sing while walking backwards and the other German didn't see the funny side of Brexit.

I really wish broadcasters, experts and punters in general would stop using the term 'post-brexit' to describe the current situation.

    WE HAVEN'T ****ING LEFT YET!

The current turmoil is what we get when we say we are going to leave. Christ knows what it will be like when we actually do.

I wish the Government would stop lying to us. May wants to crack down on foreign students overstaying their visas, claiming it would reduce numbers by tens of thousands. A Home Office analysis says only 1,500 students refuse to leave each year, but this has been 'hidden'. I'm quite happy for foreign student numbers to be drastically reduced, it's one of the factors that is turning tertiary education in this country into a money grabbing pile of crap. But no need to tell porkies about it.

May was a very long serving Home Secretary, but all the things she claims to find morally repugnant - child abuse, porn, modern slavery - all seem to have got worse under her watch, and the one thing she was charged to do - control immigration - she failed in spectacularly. I expect more of the same. Still, it could have been Andrea Leadsom. Or Boris Johnson, who's idea of policy is to urge people to take to the streets.

The media is currently in a void but will not doubt get snippets to shape our views nearer the time as litmus ideas from the current government will need to be tested

I still can't accept what has happened
We have a totally out of touch women spouting silly sound bites after a vote that was full of lies from both sides . I cannot trust reform will be delivered as the culture of couldn't care less is too strong in the UK now
The 48% seem to be wussed out
The 52% I am certain have a shock coming

I honestly think this about attempting to shake Europe up.

Meanwhile it seems the entire country is more interested in dancing like a tit and baking bloody cakes

calmer, because the markets will know what's happening. Most of the turmoil is due to 'remainers' putting the doom and gloom into it. I don't mean general public but politicians not accepting the vote and wanting a court to decide or another vote.
If all these people moved on and got behind it then the markets would look a lot healthier.

I suspect the government indicating that controlling immigration is the overriding objective, which probably means no special access to the single market, and the leak from David Davies' department that Brexit will cost the government £66bn in lost tax revenues may have a tiny bit of influence too.

The 66bn i think maybe a projection of what the government would like to tax the big corps etc
I may have mentioned this earlier in the year as i was approached to cost out bulk address changes for a lot of banks and insurance companies based in London
They have set up provisional head offices in Gib, Cologne and Switzerland most of them
The company i work for owns the the TSO and we have 95% of the banks in the world so i get an insight and we produce most HM documents

Many didn't pay tax anyway and so Goggle and Amazon customers won't care in the UK

Many who pretend they are in Southern Europe by drinking liquid dirt alfresco at Pret Costa Caffe Nero etc should boycott but they won't as the nation is hooked
It makes me laugh to watch this as many Leave Voters are served in these places by students who have expired visa and decided to stay on

Give these jobs to the UK youth then there will riots as it could be national training day for our lot trying to boil a kettle while on Facebook

I seriuosly have seen someone UK moving the bread roll while the knife was stationary

They rely on early morning deliveries so one diesel strike and a cafe is unable to operate ... not the Rosy Lea cafe ideal i grew up in, still we have a nation of cake makers now. I challenge the very best of bake off ****ers to come to my local patisserie and give it a go to try and do what they do every day of the year from raw ingredients.

Sb we can go on about this all day but it's all If's and Buts. Leaks, predictions, forecasts. At the end of the day until we trigger article 50 people can say what they like. If anybody thinks that the single market and immigration issue won't be resolved is deluded. Business will always come first.
Now this thread is over for me until something happens... see you all in 5 years

That's a shame Ellers, it's fun to argue.

Of course the single market and immigration will be resolved, it's the consequences of the resolution and what happens in the time it takes to get one that we are debating.

TBH for me the main concern is jobs. We can all debate on here but if some poor sod loses his job over Brexit it will be sad.
I wanted to leave the EU due to them not listening to us but on Monday I spoke to an Irishman who made me think about it in a different way.
I just hope we keep our good links with Europe and people's jobs are safe. The pound will always go up and down.

Shall we keep on asking the same question until the electorate get the answer right, then stop asking it?

No, what I really want is for them up north to get another vote but let them down south be able to vote as well. Then they will be happy as they will able to buy Marmite again.

It's treading over old ground, of course, but you can just imagine another referendum where there's a narrow remain victory, then never another vote on the issue ever again. Then again, it's not beyond the belligerence of the British people to vote an even stronger Leave the second time around out of contempt for our political classes.
