Norway now lead after a nice finish from Hull's Diomande and West Ham's (Blackburn on loan) Samuelsen, but nothing can hide the fact that this has been an embarrasing performance.

San Marino scored their first qualification goal away from home in 15 years. They don't have professional players, several players missing tonight because of work commitments back home.

4-1 now, three goals in 6 minutes. San Marino badly tired.

The San Marino FA have just tweeted that at least they scored more goals than England tonight.

That was poor from England.
Too disjointed. Sturridge isn't a centre forward and leaves us with nothing up front.
Badly missed Lalaana and a reinvigorated Sterling.
Henderson returned to his very average performance.
Walcott not good enough.
Hart was absolutely fantastic, making three good saves and one absolutely unbelievable double save.
Southgate needs to play Rashford up top with Alli behind him and stick to it.
Get Sterling and Lalaana back in we'll look better imo.
At the end of the day we are two points clear at the top and the jocks lost!

How did Slovenia play, any attempt to win?
 
Turned off after as nothing to listen to from pundits, saw the crap, Sturridge ****e & I would give Austin a chance up front, what's the case for giving vardy a run out?
 
Yup Slovenia were an average team...we were an average team with a defencev who all made stupid individual mistakes...and if it weren't for a goalkeeper playing out of his skin we would have...defence very poor...Henderson poor. Alli poor Sturridge poor .... Townsend ok...we deserve d to lose that.poor poor poor...except Hart.
 
I couldn't get that match on the tele here Kiwi. I assume it is 1-1?

Mexican tele is showing Mexico V Panama live from Chicago. 0-0 in this match after 11 minutes.
 
If Southgate is using these four games as a presentation for his job interview he may as well not turn up. He doesn't have the tactical acumen for the job as he proved with the U21s when they reached tournament finals and came up against better coached sides. If he does get the job we'll be also-rans for the next decade...
