Don't these things show in the club's published accounts?

Also, lets not forget that were working on a naming deal for the main stand still, can see that bringing quite a bit revenue.. quite a bit of it will go towards covering the cost of the stand itself..
In turn, the could use the same business model to pay for the Annie Road revamp, think it'll happen, maybe start in 5 years time?
Also, whilst FSG don't want to sell up, I'm sure if someone came in and offered them 200m for a 20% stake, they'd take it.. wouldn't be surprised if such negotiations are ongoing in the back ground with some chaps in China..

No idea I don't read them.

The many accountants and solicitors who seem to post on here may be able to shed some light on it :bandit:

Neither do I, but I see that there are articles in the press related to them from time to time. I'm sure all commercial agreements and TV money must be entirely transparent in the accounts. They'd have to be.
As you say, perhaps one of our resident financial experts will come and enlighten us. :)

It cannot start in 5 years

they must begin detailed application by 2017 and must break ground by 2019 or lose the outline approval they have now.

We are ranked by Deloitte as the 9th richest club in global terms saint, those below us on that list )(apart from Everton and Spurs of whom one is currently building a new stadium and the other is almost guaranteed a new site and funding-investment from their new major shareholder for a new stadium)have either bigger or newer stadiums than ours.
Part of the deal in which they bought LFC was their promise to build a new stadium, ok that was decided to be replaced with a refurbishment of our present ground, but putting the brakes on the rest of it because they know our support will create a ****storm if they try and pass the bill for it onto us will backfire on them big time.

Can't deny they've steadied the ship and got us back on our feet but in real terms they've spent very little since arriving and lack of transparency over where the money goes does nothing to enhance their image.

Me and you are old enough to remember what Anfield was like in Shank's day and by comparison its now brilliant but we should have moved into a new stadium or Anfield should have been totally rebuilt(in stages)by now, partly down to Moores selling to the cowboys and not being prepared to do it during his time and partly due to FSG's policy of themselves(LFC)not paying for what needs doing without taxing the supporters.

Apart from that everything's fine and dandy.:)

I'm as far from a financial expert as you could get so any discussions around such see me researching. From memory we made £60m profit last year, £1m the year before with previous four years all operating at a loss. That doesn't look like enough money or a stable enough pattern to cover the expansion costs this year. I think wages accounts for about 60% of income which is something often overlooked when talking about player comings and goings.

I don't think the owners are squirreling away anything for themselves and I do believe they are trying to do their best. Hiking ticket prices will never be tolerated so it's good to hear about new commercial deals because that's where the extra money should be coming from.

JB FSG gave us the 115 million interest free to fund the main stand. we are paying them back over 5 years.

I would also like to just point out that not every year has seen ticket prices hike. yes the new tick prices were a shock in terms of the seats around the klopp aura area... but... they did freeze them.

The fact is beofre any issues arose with protest ayre stated the anfield road end was marginal.

If you put in the protest and getting screamed at with "greedy bastards" well is it unreasonable to then turn round and expect them to ignore a relatively poor financial return on investment and give us 70mil odd plsu all the player fees etc just for vanity?

I know hand on heart the fans NEED that stand cos theres as many on the waiting list still that will never get a ticket. 20 year wits, 20k + on list, 150 tickets turnaround a year = latent demand. but... if it will take 10 years to pay back off 4.8k extra seats? its a problem.

Whilst I don't like that at all, I can also sympathise with the sentiment as most fans have little or no interest in the financial minutiae of the club but a lot of interest in what they'll have to cut out in order to afford a ticket because realistically none [or very few] of them are going to stop going to the match.

The season ticket list surely includes mostly fans who regularly attend anyway but don't have a ST? LFC only has just over 50% ST's whereas other clubs have a much higher % - Everton e.g. has about 75% tickets as ST's, other clubs have over 80%. Even though the list is very long, I don't think there's thousands of fans waiting to attend games on that list.

As I've pointed out before, I was dead against the price hike for the reasons you've said. However, I don't think accusations of "greedy bastards" are justified unless there was clear evidence that the owners were creaming off more than what is acceptable as a reasonable return on their investment.
I don't think a confrontational stance is helpful to anyone - both parties need to make their feelings known in an open and civilised manner and come to a mutual understanding. A rift between the owners and a significant section of the fans can only be a bad thing.
FSG aren't sugar daddies and they can't throw endless amounts of money at the club without it being financially viable.
I think they are fairly shrewd businessmen who've done a decent job in bringing this club back from the brink and making it competitive again. The fans need to realise this, and the owners need to realise that a working-class fanbase is not an inexhaustible cash-cow either.
So, keep the inward investment coming and move forward in steps that are affordable and on a realistic timescale.

I agree with all of that.

With regard to this though ''make their feelings known in an open and civilised manner'' - we are talking about [for the most part] dog rough scousers :bandit:

The list contains a huge mix of people. Yes some will be going by being members and getting tickets on a match by match basis... then again some season ticket holders sell their tickets off to travel agents etc etc and make the cost of the full season ticket back and just go to a few games.

I personally know a guy who is over 20,0000th on the list. thats all i can say. the club has attempted to clean the list several times and even after the recent main stand opening.

    http://talksport.com/football/revea...-has-highest-percentage-season-ticket-holders

    this article shows that yes we are quite low on the list. why that is is is the question;

    1. half the main stand capacity addition is corporate. are these seasons tickets? as the 6-10k corporates considered season tickets?
