Good Luck <ok>

Hannibal The Great 12/1 - Huntingdon 3.55

Good to see HTG ready to roll after his problems when reappearing last year. He had some very decent hurdling form to his credit and with Charlie usually on top form at this time of year HTG could prove a big price if he can manage to get around without having any trouble.

The horse is as likely to PU as finish though but if he is in good health and jumps safe he could be a nice chasing type for the coming years.

Some nice racing at Gaillimhe notably the first looks a nice race for at least 2 (market faves) future prospects and then later sees Monksland kick start his season up against Marinero who has match fitness on side. Patricia Hunt also has the bumper fave so she could have a double but Gordon's runner Brelade hasn't much to find (neck) and it looks a straight shootout between the pair.

Troubled Soul 14/1
Kerry Lee has the hot favourite in this race but fergal o brien puts this one over fences after a couple of hurdle runs to presumably put an edge on him -with the stable in such good norder I'm willing to take a punt on this fellow -I also like the look of Lucky Pat over in Galway -again opposing short priced favourite -ruby is booked to ride 6/1

I see "tomorrow" (Wednesday) Buzz is down to run

Cheekpieces and Luke Morris on, Michael throwing everything at this attempt. Since his last run he was given a two week break in the field away from the yard to freshen him up. He is as fit as he can be for tomorrow so let's hope he puts in maximum effort and runs to his best form rather than what we have seen of late.

A real character this fella STH. Total anti social nutjob. So much so that him and his partner in crime, Loose Chips, live in a barn of their own. Very highly regarded by the yard prior to his injury and always looked the right sort to go chasing with.

Rudey ive been told to back this lad each way as my mate knows someone involved with the horse. They booked up Ruby and hoping to give it a right old rattle.Going to very tough to heat the Coral Cup winner Diamond King but now could be the time to catch him early as he's making his chase debut so might be a little bit rusty.Only six line up so hopefully be in the top two placings. Small wager will do.

ste - thanks for that , my reasoning was the same , the time to catch out the fav is now in this instance and hopefully it'll be lucky pat , although Henry D B also has a potentially dark one in Archive ........

Morning, team. Nothing for me today but am greatly looking forward to the action in the second half of the week. What, what?!?

Am tempted to have my annual full scale moan about the absolutely awful, dull and tedious race titles at Ascot on Saturday. Won’t go into full rant mode but will just say cor blimey Racecourse Executive show a bit more imagination than, for instance, calling the 16 Furlong heat ‘The Long Distance Cup’!

Welsh Champion Hurdle on Saturday then. New October date (to avoid the heavy ground usually prevalent in February) but quite a reduction in prizemoney. Down to just £30k in the old prizepot.

Good luck those who trade today.

Very interested in the 2.30 at Huntingdon.
One of the few winners I've put up recently ( count them on one hand ), Innocent Girl, goes again but is up a further 7lb, but at the moment still a strong favourite.
I think this might be an end to the winning streak and will take it on with Accessallareas, who surprised to be 2nd at Hereford and has actually dropped in the weights, so with Johnson in the saddle I've chosen to put my mark on that one.

Good Luck.

tough choice for me today! Watch Scotland tonight or go and see I, Daniel Blake!

Go see the film -won't make you feel as bad as the other option....

Backed into 11/2 and then scratched...! My bet is the ground was too fast and they didn't want to risk him.

sure is ste -all his films are worth a bit of anyone's time -some admittedly are harder than others but all leave you with thoughts and feelings -be hard to pick a favourite - much depends on your mood - but The Angels Share is an uplifting one -the humour is often dark in his films , but he is a real down to earth fella -Looking for Eric another comedy with edge.
riff raff -
raining stones
land and freedom - Spanish civil war but similar to the wind that shakes .....
hidden agenda - another Irish based film
Days of Hope - from 1975 about the 1926 general strike and the sell out by the tuc - caused huge outrage from the tories and many right wing Labour types when it was shown on play for today in four episodes -never been shown since along with some others that were banned as a result of legal action by those in power -question of leadership -a documentary where rank and file workers spoke candidly about their so called leaders is still subject to this -free country my aaarse !!!
