I finished watching Breaking Bad after a 2 year break after watching series 3.

I thoroughly enjoyed that series all the way through, apart from some very boring parts during the last 8-10 episodes.

Anybody bothered to watch Better Call Saul? I'm wondering if it's any good cos he was a great character in BB.

Saw Swiss Army Man on Friday. A little surreal but fun as well worth a look.

That's one of them indie films innit, with Harry Potter? Not for me, I'd switch it off after 3 minutes, I don't have an open mind when it comes to these so called 'arty' films.

It is and it wont be everybody's cup of tea but I enjoyed it.

On Better Call Saul, its good but not as good as Breaking Bad. You do get lots of the back story of key players in Breaking Bad, worth watching just for that.

I've seen the first series and thought it was great. It's on a par with Breaking Bad for quality but because it's about Saul it's more fun to watch. As much as I love BB it did have a few characters who were a bit of a chore, BCS doesn't have that.

It's not an inferior spin off it's an equal and in some ways better.

Yeah he spends the whole film looking for a horse with a stone in its hoof, doesn't find one. At the end he goes home and has a cup of tea, it's wild.

No he played a dead body and was used for lots of practical things, loved the farting jet ski scene!

I thought I knew which one it was, it's got Daniel Radcliffe in it hasn't it.

I reckon I'll like it, I couldn't tell you why but comedies where they have to pretend that a dead body is still alive really crack me up.

Yeah they seemed intent on dragging the show down with them, even Jesse went from being funny to being super serious all the time and crying at the drop of a hat. I let them off with it a bit because the show had earned a lot of credit by then.

I thought BCS might have been BB-lite but it's just as good. If you like Saul's character then you're golden, Mike's in it quite a bit too and I always enjoyed his scenes in BB, sarcastic git that he is.

Mike... hard to discuss without spoilers. Glad to hear that though, definitely one of the best characters from BB.

Better Call Saul first season was alright. 2nd season was a bit flat.

I've just watched Flowers which was excellent and in the process of watching Top Boy which is bang on. They're both british and on All 4

Thought it was a weak imitation. Didn't have the humour or the drama. The characters were weaker and it didn't have the plot of BB.

Would recommend giving it a swerve as it's bang average.

I went with the first season as they had to build a plot. But when it didn't take off in the 2nd at all I wished I hadn't have bothered.

Yeah I just didn't bother with the second. I had nothing invested in the characters. Which is ridiculous considering he was a ****ing star in BB.

    Thought it was woeful.

So some people on here love BCS and some hate it. Professional critics are more or less unanimous in praising it.

If you meet in the middle it's got to put it in worth a go territory at least.

Watched a true story last night called 'The Siege at Jadotville' on Netflix about a group of 150 Irish UN peacekeepers. Really good film well worth a watch.
