Tonight's debate should be a doozy!

Donald 'make America hate again' Trump vs Hilary 'emails, what emails' Clinton.

Makes our choices look almost reasonable.,...

I think the town hall format's going to take the heat out of it. For clinton anyway. No doubt there'll be plenty in there to boo the Don.

Trump should promote those howard stern interview i reckon. To me, he just comes across as human. A guy who's happy to joke around with a talk show host in an open way. Seriously, who gives a **** if he didnt object to someone callin his adult daughter "a piece of ass" in a complimentary way ? Better than being some up tight dalek like Hillary, for me anyway.

Not really a basis for a choice for President I would suggest. And what about the 'it's smart not to pay taxes bit'? That alone should be enough to condemn him. And as for all those poor voters who presumably agree that they should pay taxes so the rich don't have to....

I'm actually amazed he hasnt got more stick for the taxes issue.

    It seems to go :

Interviewer : how much tax have you paid ?

    Trump : none

    Audience : (waits for cataclysm)

Trump : and that makes me smart

    Interviewer : i guess so

    Audience : fair enough.

It matters not one jot to me though. As long as Clinton is not in charge of the world and going round invading random countries, i could not give a flying **** what he does.

    I'm supporting him too <hug>

He doesnt handle deep pressure perfectly, but underneath it all, he actually strikes me as a fairly reasonable, balanced and genuine guy tbh. I realise I'm in a minority though. :)

Drumpf must be in the same territory by now as Gordon Brown was
during "bigot-gate" . There is a core demographic who will vote Republican
regardless of any PR disasters to come, but unlikely to be enough for
    him to become president.

Robspur, Trump and Farage. Bloody hell - you'd get a decent haul if you three went trick-or-treating together. Though hopefully only white males will open the door when you knock - there wouldn't be enough lawyers in any town to deal with the sexual assaults and hate crimes cases if lesser humans such as women or blacks confronted this Band of Botherers. Hopefully households will have a lot of white chocolate.

That is the most incredible use of the word "reasonable" that I've ever seen. As just one of hundreds of possible examples: when a grown man is asked how he's going to pay for his Magic Wall [This ambition, I suppose, shows his "balanced" nature] his answer is actually: "It will be paid for. And you know what? It just got 10 feet higher". Yeah. Reason. Logic.

The guys a gigantic moron, is about as circumspect as an angry toddler and I've never seen or heard anyone who supports him without mentioning how uniquely awful Clinton is (funny how someone with misogynistic tendencies might go down this route). Cos before her America never had any foreign wars. Nuh-uh. And no other politician ever had a private email address and deleted loads of them. Definitely not several members of Bush's administration. Nuh-uh. I dun watched Fow News and gotted my informashun!

Every politician thinks that all immigrants are rapists and murderers though, every politician thinks that the answer to complex social issues is a giant wall (I mean seriously - any semi-intelligent person can see how innane and unfeasible and irrelevant the idea of a wall is), every politician thinks it's okay to grope strangers in the off-chance that they might then want to suck their tiny, fat billionaire dick. Every politician is incapable of answering any question only with repeated claims of how "terrific" and "incredible" their infantile ideas are. He's going to end crime! Wow! I heard him say it! How? (all politicians, all legal scholars and philosophers who have ever lived may ask) By "getting terrific people in, incredible people, the absolute best". Oh. His "analysis" of what crime is and why it happens is exactly on the level of a young child. I am absolutely not exaggerating. Bad people need to be caught by good people. I would be aghast if any kid older than 12 said this. He's a big fan of Law and Order, though. Except for where his dick is concerned.

I understand that if you're not really into thinking about social, political, economic or historical issues then voting for the guy who comes across as a likable dude on the TV is about as good a plan as you can hope for and after all this is what got Obama, Bush and Bill Clinton elected.

Politics is so dumb these days that I hesitate to encourage my step-daughter's curiosity with the debate tonight. I wouldn't want her to think that this is what thinking and talking like *people who should be the most intelligent and informed around* looks like. It's a personality beauty show - the whole thing is about cadence, body-language, looks, mannerisms.

By "reasonable", I really meant genuine and human. Maybe it's because they were recorded before he had serious political ambitions, but when I listened to the clips of the howard stern interviews that were supposed to show him as an evil woman hater, I didn't hear that. What I heard - or what struck me about them - was that this was a genuine person; it wasnt someone being polished or fake, it was a real, genuine down to earth guy. Did he strike me in those clips as being someone who sounded deranged, dangerous, evil ? Not in the slightest. Yes, he had a frat boy machismo about him that some might find unpallatable, but nothing I heard struck me as representing any kind of sign of being a bad or malicious person. When I hear or see Hillary on the other hand, what I see or hear strikes me as being pretty much the opposite in terms of underlieing character : false, sly etc. That's what I mean when I see he strikes me as reasonable. And for all Trump's not very convincing evading of questions apparantly due to a lack of answers, we're yet to see him being exposed as the liar HC seems to be.

There are two issues that interest me in this election :

    1. The global movement to make men subservient to women
    2. Forein affairs, and in particular aggresive and murderous attitudes towards Syria and Iran

I don't find some of Trump's recent words to be acceptable - certainly not in public, and certainly not from a President. He's apologised for them though, and I for one believe the sincerity of his remorse. But in any case, in the big picture, it really doesnt bother me. All I want out of this election is someone who doesnt intend to invade Syria and provide blind support to Saudi, and someone who doesnt support the continued brainwashing of the world to make them think any word or deed that doesnt give positive favour to women over men is the most abhorrant thing imaginable. And on both counts * that's Trump.

I hope he kicks Clinton's ass tonight.

    * not because she's a woman herself btw, that doesnt bother me in the slightest one way or the other.

Pretty heartbreaking to see the daughters (who I understand were best friends) having to sit through this war opposite each other tbh.

This is viscious. Trump fighting back. Clinton looking the classier of the two thouh tbh, but she was rattled when he said he's going to jail her.

Trump's accusations of bias getting really tired here. Clinton is rattled here though, but doing well to get through it so far.

He's a deeply flawed individual. Nacissistic, egotistical, most probably sociopathic, I could go on and on.

The idea of this unstable, erratic, pompous, self regarding man as President of the USA is laughable. Or, it would be if it wasn't a possibility.

    That's just deeply disturbing!...

These two candidates make the return to government by absolute monarchy a plausibly desirable option. I am anti-monarchy.
