Who was joking? Across the whole big picture Its going to be a relative disaster when its all played out IMO. Some sectors (low skill, low pay) may benefit, but the big ticket financial and hi teck stuff will all be relocating to germany and manufacturing will be moved to poland.

Sadly the multinationals here need unrestricted access to the single market and will move thier plants to the european mainland to get it. Our response will be to tear up the rights of workers and continue to force down the wages of those dwindling numbers remaining in skilled jobs towards the "living wage".

The country was conned by the nutters and swivel eyed loons of UKIP ( think we can now see them for what they were), and the political ambitions of Boris and Gove!

We arnt out yet and this government mght not be able to stop a house of commons veto when they try to pass the bills that trigger article 50.

May has said she's not putting it to parliament, the referendum gives the government the mandate.

To repeal the Communities Act it has to go before both houses of parliament. Cant agree any new trade deals until this is done, so effectively cant leave the eu without votes in parliament. Its a huge economic and constitutional mess.

Thanks, wasn't aware of that. Odd then that she doesn't call a snap election (if she can, not sure the coalition made it fixed term) to increase her majority. Labour would get wiped out.

She announced the plan to repeal the communities act last sunday morning, and straight away enough tory pro eu mps said they would block it to see the bill defeated....

It's very complicated apparently to get out of the fixed parliament act but of course Labour will get wiped out, just have to wait till 2020 now instead so it'll keep. Loony left Corbyn's re-election guarantees a permanent Tory government.

Immigration is the single issue that you and all you isolationist twats have banged on about. You are prepared to trash the economy to return Britain to the 1950s.
Bit late in reading this, Chips, but wasn't it a tory government in the fifties, Mr Mc Millan and his famous "you've never had it so good" quote?

I don't see your point, Chips. This has been happening for years (same as here in Oz). Companies go off shore because the wages are less, then they sell the goods in their own country, but does the consumer see any benefit? No, the retail price remains the same. It's sheer bloody greed for bigger profits. Your industries may move off shore but not because of Brexit, they may see an opportunity to take advantage of cheaper labour and then it's "Good bye, nice knowing you".

Should get Roy Hodgson as lead, he got us out of Europe with no problem at all.

Well, well who would have thought.

The government have confirmed what everyone knew that they'll be no second EU referendum.

The loony remainiacs will be up in arms throwing more toys out of their prams, but they'll have to get over it, respect the result and move on like some have - Sturgeon take note!! <doh>
great result leaving the eu the pound has dropped over 25% in 7 months , i did not vote but if i had i would have voted to stay even though the immigration policy of eu with free movement of people is useless , why they cannot change this and let each individual country decide on their own immigration i will never know and we could then still stay in the eu it ridiculous leaving it , when you go abroad on holiday or to live abroad the pound is useless now and get a useless exchange , also we might have to have a visa going abroad in the eu, and prices will increase for goods imported from eu in uk shops and supermarkets :emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil:emoticon-0130-devil
