Been watching Stranger Things this morning on my day off, can't figure out if it's good or waffle, I'll give it a few more episodes before I decide.

Just been to see the magnificent 7, canny film but not as good as the original.
Bright Jones baby was poor, the wife enjoyed it though.
Jack reacher out later this year which looks good.

I've read most of the Reacher books and even if I didn't strongly dislike Tom Cruise I'd still have to say that he's a million miles away from Reacher. This is how Reacher is described:

"He was one of the largest men she had ever seen outside the NFL. He was extremely tall, and extremely broad, and long-armed, and long-legged. The lawn chair was regular size, but it looked tiny under him. It was bent and crushed out of shape. His knuckles were nearly touching the ground. His neck was thick and his hands were the size of dinner plates...A wild man. But not really. Underneath everything else seemed strangely civilized....His gaze was both wise and appealing, both friendly and bleak, both frank and utterly cynical."

    This is Tom Cruise:

Yes mate, even down to the original soundtrack, love the magnificent 7 theme.
Lol about Jack reacher, they sound like they cast a dwarf in place going by above description.

Has there been any remake which has been better than the original? I can't think of any.

I haven't seen the Swedish version but I believe that the English language remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the better version.

Which original are we talking about here as someone has informed me there was three versions made ?
My choice had Kurt Russell in the lead part.

I'd read most Reacher books, so when i heard Tom Cruise was taking the role I spat my food and drink out. They did a canny job with the first film though, despite the fact Tom's one quarter the size of the bloke..
