I've missed loads of goals arriving late, due to going with drunks that can't be bloody dragged out of the pub and always insist on having one more (they may spuriously claim it is equally my fault)

Mind you I don't think that ever happened at Boothferry Park though, we just got a bit slack after going to KC

I seem to recall hearing the cheers for Stuart Green scoring some early ones while walking over the bridge from Londesborough

Can't recall which game but I managed to miss three goals one game. One due to arriving late, one just before half time as it was my round and I'd gone to the bar, and one just after half time when I went for a piss before I retook my seat

Don't know why I bother going really, although I never leave before the end so never miss any last minute excitement

Just remembered I missed Fryatt's equaliser at Wembley right after half time in the Semifinal, I'd bought 2 pints & by the time I'd drank the first I was feeling full so the second just wouldn't go down. Eventually necked it & saw the rest of the goals, great day out that!

I Un-spuriously claim it is your fault & that at BP you were that pissed you forgot about many 'missed goals /chunks of games ' ...

Though it was not your fault when we decided to not to go to cup replay at home* (even though we went to the away game) against Whitby where we 93-0 in extra time & Dwayne Dibley scored 10 hat tricks (okay 8-4) ... * having met in the pub before & decided to continue drinking instead of going to the game ...

Yep definitely your fault, Tash. I was just going to post about the Stuart Green story, was weird, he was n't that prolific but seemed to score numerous times in the first 5 (or maybe 10) minutes while we were admiring the rare newts.

The 7-0 hammering of Stockport, early 80's, some of our lot used to stay in Cod til 3, (when they used to shut ) were were 3-0 up in about 10 mins and they missed them, they weren't late again

Drinking and forgetting to go to the actual game is easily done, and anyway it might have been raining

Some statto is going to tell us that Stuart Green rarely scored early goals, but in my mind he did, and we missed most of them !

Missed a few goals through being thrown out of BP.

Only game I ever recall being late for was QPR a few years back. Was working in Bradford in the morning, due to finish at 12:30 but some idiot ****ed something up and I was stuck there for another hour. Just remember leathering it down the M62 at 90-odd MPH most of the way and got there with about 5-10 mins gone.

It finished 1-1 - the only part of the game I remember is Turner's injury time equaliser after we'd been 1-0 down for most of it.

By the time I got off the beach on holiday we were 3-0 to Liverpool. There were no highlights shown at half time so still no real idea what happened.
