Haha yeah , a mate went by coach to Holland last year, I know Milan is much further but he had an amazing time. The coach was spacious with a good atmosphere so I'm giving it ago although he,s 5ft whatever and I'm 6ft 3 . £230 including 2 nights in 4* hotel, leave Tuesday evening and return Saturday.
Is that a "Saints fans" coach, because that sounds brilliant fun? The atmosphere on the journey down will be amazing with the tinge of excitement and if we win.... well that coach will be rocking on the way home Safe trip and I hope you have two amazing coach journeys!
Thanks FLT , southamptonawaytravel.co.uk . I can't comment personally yet but been told they are good fun. I agree the trip on the way will be great and on the way back ........we'll see
Apologies if it's been asked already but when can we expect to receive the actual tickets (for this match)? I'm actually in Milan this eve & I'm trying to make sure I get local colleagues to pick me up from Bergamo & drop me off at north end of M5 metro. Need to make sure all bits are ticked & double ticked to ensure no cock-up's, including ticket arrival!
A little while yet I imagine as we're still selling them so we can't send them off to Inter until sales are concluded. I did wonder if Saints will set a cut off date as I imagine they will want to send them off next week
Just spoke to ticket office said the tickets should be getting sent out next week. Also said that he thinks it will HAVE to be your passport you show on the gate at the ground which is somewhat annoying. I was kind of hoping any photo id would do as I don't really fancy carrying my passport around with me all day in Milan. On a positive.... 2 weeks to go!!!
Keep your passport in a bag on a tape round your neck....will be safer...and hardly show unless you plan to wear a skin tight t-shirt. Or in a zipped pocket in a jacket. There that's your mother talking. And don't drink too much or talk to strangers.
That's what I think ill do with passport you can buy lanyards which i'll wear under my t shirt. As for not drinking too much or not talking to strangers... no promises there I'll certainly be talking to strangers as well, just those in red and white
You forgot to say to wear clean underwear (hope it doesn't need saying!) and to wash behind your ears...
I've been trawling back through internet & stuff and believe my 1st away was Oxford United, 27 Dec 1975, old Div 2. Day after Boxing Day & remember i had a massive hangover. Car full of 18 year olds, intent on terrorising Oxford - in our heads anyway but in reality, we were all nice lads & caused no trouble. Won 2-1 Little did I know the ride I was already firmly on & within a few months hit the heady heights of FA Cup glory.
I did Oktoberfest Munich once by coach - it was called "Magic Bus", started at London & only cost about £30 Broken down on route & we renamed it "tragic bus" ! Great time though. It was actually magic
