Liverpool21/20 Draw13/5 Manchester Utd12/5

By the time we play united, all other results are going to be known.
Everton can overtake us if they beat Manchester city.
Chelsea also need to win by six goals against Leicester to overtake us in the table
I beleive we are still going to be 4th in the table on Monday 17th October.

Why the **** is the Everton v City game not televised? <yikes>

Not really, it's become a bit of a lower rival game in the last few years. You used to be our biggest local threat, now City have taken that mantle. City are now THE big local rivals and THE big title rivals alongside Chelsea. If you take Leicester out as an anomaly then the league has been contested between United, City and Chelsea for the last 12 years.
Like I say, you used to be our biggest local rivals but that ended 5 years ago.

Youve not been a title race since before us...

Must be part of a package deal where certain fixtures fit a bracket.

Also be a bit unfair if all the glamour ties are televised as smaller clubs would not benefit.

Although argument is certainly going the way of clubs doing their own tv deals if they want the money to remain in the game :bandit:

I guess it's based on last season when the first set of TV fixtures are released. Everton were dog **** and Leicester were the champions so now we have to endure watching them get battered every weekend. Until the next set of TV fixtures are released, I'd imagine they won't be on every other week anymore if they continue as they are.

I agree Ibra will enjoy the battle with someone like Lovren whereas a more mobile pair may do better against him.

Ermmmm... Ibrahimovic is slow but quality and if utd start tossing it long we really want matip and lovern there as they are tallest.

Klavan is giving up a lot of height on ibrahimovic.

very good question. No 3pm kick off seems to so there must be one of them on tv.

Well would you rather it replace Middlesbrough v Watford? That would be sheer lunacy!
I think football is behind the times here. I don't know why they just don't make all games available like they do in other countries.
Obviously I'm aware of the argument about taking people away from the grounds, but we've had widespread televising of matches for a long time now and I don't see much evidence to back up the fear.
With all respect to them, Middlesborough v Watford, or similar fixtures, have little or no appeal beyond the fans of those clubs and their immediate rivals, and whilst I accept that they have every right to be catered for, it's not going to bring in many neutrals.
Real fans want to watch their own team play, regardless of who else is playing at the time - so making them all available would suit everybody.

They need to get the ball off us before they can hoof it

LFC will have i hope clyne and lallana back after a week and add milner and matip to that as players who deffo won't be on international duty. so i hope we are in full training for the game for the eriod off.

Our issue this international break is firmino is back in brazil squad and so thats both coutinho and firmino off... but then again a monday night game is ideal for us there.

In a way playing monday night is ideal for us. Utd are a bit annoyed due to ueropa being then thursday.
