His starting position is much higher and he gets involved in passing much more. So far he hasn't been good on balls into the box but nowhere near as bad as De Gea when he started in the PL. Or today.

exactly! now you've got it. Van gaal is a legend IMO, he actually won them a cup and got the the record number of FA cups. Moyes was their Dave Sexton. Mourinho seems sexist enough to be their big Ron equivalent.
