The Leicester lads all disappear at the same time?

Power-cut?

I was watching the golf last night. Can't speak for the others :)

Personal thought on our game was that both sides missed sitters and a draw was a fair result. We looked knackered (think Harry Kane's recent performances - pre-injury) and Southampton passed the ball neatly between their defenders for 90 minutes. Not sure that constitutes "deserving to win", but they were neater and quicker than us.

Fecking boring but hey-ho. Unbeaten at home in the league with 1 goal conceded. Top 10 still on track, got the world's worst run of away games (Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Spurs) but once they're over with we've got a run of West Brom (H), Watford (A), Middlesbrough (H), Sunderland(A). Be surprised if we don't get 12 points considering Mendy is coming back.

Saints were far better, your manager even said so himself. Any sort of passing would seem neat against Leicester's long ball football. Saints looked like the home side yesterday.

He actually did say something similar:
"I'm very happy because Southampton deserved to win. They played better. We conceded too many chances to score a goal.
"I recognise they played better than us. Fortunately we finished with a draw from the match."

Haven't seen it myself, due to the timing of the matches, so I won't comment.

Ranieri is the the most humble man in football, lets be honest. Suprised he didn't apologise to Southampton for not letting them win.

It was more the "Southampton looked like the home team" that made me giggle.

Like I say, I haven't seen it, so I can't offer an opinion.
The stats would suggest that he's right, but we all know that you don't play a possession game anyway.
They did have 62% though, which is very high. More shots, shots on target, corners and better territory.
Didn't score, though. That's what matters, I guess.

All signs point to Leicester playing for a point, because that's what they did.

Like I said, it's easy to play a passing game from your defence when you've got two strikers running on empty.

Southampton didn't dominate. It's not like we've scraped a point. Southampton played some pretty stuff and got the draw they wanted (11 men always behind the ball when Leicester were in possession).

We were poor and nothing like ourselves. Fair enough considering we've got a shallow squad and have had 7 games (one going to extra time) in 22 days.

They play to hit teams on the break, though. Most of their wins last season had similar stats.
Sit back, absorb pressure, let teams overextend themselves, then break quickly and nick a goal.
I wouldn't want to watch it every week, I must admit, but it won them the league. Don't hear any complaints.

This season was always going to be a tricky adjustment for them.
They had very few cup games in the last campaign and now they've got a fair number of tough, guaranteed ones.
The Champions League draw was favourable, but it still means a lot of travel and little rest. They'll have off days.

That's because you're one of those fans that thinks "Oh, they had more of the ball. They obviously deserved to win" rather than us being boring or whatever you like to say to get over it.

Some of our football last season was breathless and it was bloody brilliant. Nothing pretty, but effective and teams simply couldn't cope. Was superb to watch.

No, I'm one of those fans that watches games and pays attention to what's happening.
You appear to have only watched the highlights, I'm afraid.

Are you suggesting that you watched our game yesterday rather than "only the highlights"? Surely there was something far more important on for Spurs fans?

I've repeatedly stated that I didn't watch your game at all and wasn't offering an opinion of it.
You can see that if you read the comments above, several of which you've replied to.
This doesn't paint a good picture of your powers of observation, to be honest.
We were also talking about last season, quite clearly.

The point is, Skiddy, that Arsenal had the lead on us for nearly two decades, getting their new stadium and paying stupid wages to attract some of the world's best players, but they've squandered it.

Only a complete muppet would deny that it is now Spurs that is in the ascendency.

These things do not happen over night (unless you have a dodgy billionaire turning up on your doorstep running away from tax liabilities abroad). Only a mega-muppet would try to maintain that Spurs would overtake Arsenal overnight, rather than show an incremental progression and improvement, as we have done.

Of course, it's not just Arsenal we're topping, it's your lamentable club. I note that you rarely mention them now, Skiddy, so ashamed are you of CFC's demise.

<laugh><laugh> Based on what.... seven games played so far this season ?
Mate I appreciate your excitement as you have done well so far but there's still another 31 league games to go ffs ! I reckon your silly wumming to your bigger neighbours will come back and bite you on your Arse-nal !

Yet you're not observant enough to notice a tongue-in-cheek, rhetorical question when you see one.

Shame.
