Taff, sorry I don't care who sold the club, but when they signed they sold us down the river as many on here thought. there were those who said it was necessary to move on and look what it has got us. we could have gone to the championship and still be run and owned locally instead these money grabbing yanks will rape our club for all they can get.

TLF - actually, I think as usual we are on the same page. My point is that the Shareholders are (also) money-grabbers - they wanted out. They had a terrible fright last year when we flirted with relegation so wanted out ASAP - don't forget, the deal was announced, just as we were "safe".

Returning to the Championship under local ownership may/would have suited us - but not the Shareholders who wanted to monetise & realise their (huge) windfall.

Yes the Yanks want to make a "fast" buck - but they will be the ones out of pocket - not the Lineens, Katzens etc <cheers>

I actually feel quite sick at this appointment and my stomach is turning over. When he was mentioned I thought there is no way we would stoop that low, how wrong can I be. To think some took the piss out of them up the road with Trollope in charge, I expect them to be all over this and rightly so.

" If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well it were done quickly". ( Macbeth )

I suppose seven matches in counts as "quickly", but I suspect the move was planned several matches earlier.

I like Guidolin, and am sorry he has been dismissed, and on his birthday. What lousy taste and timing some people have.
Presumably he was notified via twitter.

So we start over with someone from "over there". Good luck to him.

How the cookie crumbles, I'm going to love the Yankee Bob squirming with his Yankee accent after losing game after game, coming soon on MOTD...........<laugh>

As I posted before , be careful what you wish for , well your wishes have come true so suck it up .

Get it right Matt, no one wished for this. We wished for an improvement in management no one said at any time that they thought Bradley would be an improvement and absolutely no one wished for it.

So bring an opinion Matt, what do you think of Bradleys' appointment?

Yet more on-the-cheap, short-sighted bollocks from our Club. How far we've fallen - and there's a long way to go yet. We can only hope we're all wrong and the guy shows us that we've misjudged him. Like most fans I'm prepared to admit that I was wrong if the Club is successful.

Bradley has an inflated ego and a big mouth and seems to think he's more than capable. Let's hope we walks the walk as well as he talks it and we must give him a chance.

As for Guidolin, mixed feelings from me. Let's be clear, he wasn't sacked because of the fans. We're the last people the Board think about imo. Not pleased with some of his decisions but you'd have to be blind not to see how we have improved lately even if the results haven't come - we've played some decent teams in that period. I think Valley said he deserved a few more games at least because of that and I'd have to agree.

Thanks for keeping us up last season, Franco, and I can only apologise for my Club's ham-fisted handling of your departure. Addio amico mio. <ok>

A lot of our fans slated Guidolin and he's gone. In comes a new manager and he's having a tough time already <laugh>. Give the guy a chance - he may be quite good!

I would say that virtually every poster on this forum, apart from Roof that is, has posted critical comments about Guidolin, be they his tactics, his formations, his selections & his substitutions - me & you included, PGF.

As such, his departure cannot really be "unexpected".

That said, I did detect a growing desire amongst the fan base to let him continue for a few games more - Christmas was a common theme.

However, that is not to be.

As you correctly say, PGF, we should give Bradley a chance - he may pleasantly surprise us. Right now, 17th place after 38 games would be acceptable to most people, so anything better would be a bonus.<cheers>
