To be fair there's only a handful, the actual average college football attendance is about 20% less than the lowest NFL gate of the season.

Source?

Mind you seeing there are more college games and it is not a professional sport then only getting an average of 20% less than the lowest gate of a professional sport with the largest average attendance is pretty good if true.

I went to a Dolphins game last Christmas and it cost me $140 dollars for a ticket in the top tier, there were no tickets for £22.

Thanks for confirming the person claiming that was talking BS. The Dolphins stadium in only the third largest in Fkorida, The two largest are both college stadiums.

College football is for all intents and purposes a professional sport, it makes more money a lot of other professional sports globally, they just use a loop hole so none of that money goes to the players.

Yes, some chose a bit of glory hunting over their team. Fair enough when it was people who went to watch both City and arugby team , Gav K for example. But others, including one poster on CI who makes a big deal of his City support and has lectured others on it, went to Wembley despite not being a fan of either side.

Re 1985, someone reckoned FC sold 25,000 tickets straight out and the RL had to send 5,000 more.
They played two home games on the way to Wembley. Against Carlisle in front of 4,588 and Widnes in front of 11,411.
Let it lie Cassy

They get big TV mobey dont they ??
I know some of the coaches are on multi million dollar deals.

I don't understand why anyone would want local people to loose their jobs or to take away a past time thousands of local people enjoy.

I get you might dislike some of the fans but given you live in Filey I doubt you interact with many on a day to day basis anyway.

Just seems a bit childish to me, I dislike Rovers (more than a non-rugby fan could understand) but would never want them to go out of business.

Have to agree with this, as the people who lose their jobs more than likely have children, and the little kids will feel it hard as they will have to go without. I know I wouldn't make a very good business man, as I might have a twat for an employee, but I would have empathy for his family. I dislike seeing anyone on their knees

Humberside's finest have arrested just three rugby yobs. When they say rugby is a family game is that a comment on the number of domestic disputes there are these days?
