The amount of space that we had leading up to Murphy's shot at goal which the keeper somehow saved with his foot as he dived was ridiculous and yes, they seem to have spent quite heavily on forwards, but they'll have to improve defensively if they're o mount a serious challemge for promotion!! <ok>

That would be fine if everything that happened in a 90 + minute game was predictable! This is football, the only thing that is predictable is its unpredictability!

    <cheers>[/QUOTE]

From what I've seen of the Championship games so far this season, I feel that almost any team is capable of beating any other team.
There have beeen some odd resuts in the first 11 games - just over 25% of the games played.

Reading - lost to Newcastle and Brighton, beat Huddersfield and then thrashed by Brentford

Brentford - Lost to Rotherham, beat Brighton, lost to Wolves, thrashed Reading and drew with Wigan

Next three look like fixtures we could (should?) get something from
but Brighton, after that will be a tricky little monster. The Leeds game will be a dress rehearsal of the forthcoming league meeting, which is on Sat 5 Nov 15:00

Certainly some winnable games coming up.
Just read this comment on the EDP website - "when they crossed the ball there were 3 or 4 waiting for it and when we do it we have one or even none." On 2 or 3 occasions last night, I said to the other guys I was sitting with in the pub that we should have more players in the box when the ball is crossed.

From a Vital Norwich match report : <ok>

Just as Wolves were building up a head of steam though, City extended their lead with an absolute pearler from Robbie Brady on 73 minutes.
Jerome held up the ball on the edge of the Wolves' area and laid the ball off to Brady, who side footed the ball with pace into the top right corner from 25 yards. Ikeme had no choice but neither would've Manuel Neuer.

Edit - I just read it again, surely he means 'no chance' rather than 'no choice'?
No choice other than to haul it out of the back of the net, though <ok> <laugh>

Yea, that was getting on my tits. There was some great crosses in, especially from Pinto, into a great area. The defenders and keeper just watched the ball, because no one was there to worry them.

I guess it's inevitable if you play with a packed midfield and a sole striker. Jerome's main strength is his hold-up play, enabling others time to get up and support him. First time crosses whipped in such as Pinto excels at will only be productive with more advanced players - you try telling AN that!! He's not for turning.

Getting back on track and discussing yesterday's game.
Interesting to see that Klose got MotM yesterday and Pinto got it on Saturday (didn't see who got it on Wednesday - sorry).
I thought Jerome also played well, as apart from his goal, his pass to Brady for our 2nd was sublime

We were pretty good . I imagine man of the match on Wednesday may have been Dwight Gayle.

Would be nice to see Lord Nelson get a few more minutes under his belt. As well as Pritchard.
